Getting Around Reutlingen
Reutlingen lies south of Stuttgart, at the foot of the Swabian Jura. Its largest employer is Bosch, with around 10,000 people at the Reutlingen site. Bosch is turning the plant into its centre for semiconductors and has expanded the clean rooms for silicon carbide chips used in electric cars. A supplier audit, a customer visit or a project week may be the reason for your trip here.
The Hauptbahnhof has regional trains rather than a dense long-distance service: RE trains run every hour to Stuttgart and to Tübingen, and an Interregio-Express links Stuttgart, Tübingen and Sigmaringen every two hours. DB has been modernising the station building since May 2025, and the main work was finished in August 2026. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
Metzingen is 10 km north-east, 20–25 minutes by car. For a day with meetings in Reutlingen, Metzingen and Stuttgart, book by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Reutlingen
Stuttgart Airport is 30 km north of Reutlingen, 35–45 minutes by car on the B464 and B27. The Messe Stuttgart is next to the terminals, so a team based in Reutlingen reaches a fair as easily as a flight.
Friedrichshafen Airport on Lake Constance is 122 km south, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, across the Swabian Jura; since 12 January 2026 it has had scheduled flights to Berlin, Düsseldorf and Hamburg on weekdays. Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden is 137 km, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Reutlingen, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 35–45 minutes to Stuttgart Airport on an ordinary day, more when the B27 is congested near Stuttgart. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Reutlingen
From Reutlingen the roads run south as well as north. Lindau, on the eastern shore of Lake Constance, is 145 km away, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes; Konstanz, at the western end of the lake, is 163 km, 1 hour 50 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes. Stuttgart is 42 km north, 45 minutes to 1 hour; the CMT holiday fair is held at its Messe from 16 to 24 January 2027. Esslingen is 39 km, 45 minutes to 1 hour, with the headquarters of Festo.
Zurich is 204 km away via the A81, 2 hours 15 minutes to 3 hours, so a meeting in Switzerland and the return fit into one long day. You reserve it as a single ride, with the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border. As Switzerland is not in the EU customs union, customs rules apply at the Swiss border.
Germany has notified the European Commission of temporary checks at its internal land borders, the Swiss border included, so allow time for a check on the way back. Carry the travel documents your nationality and itinerary require.

Groups & Event Travel in Reutlingen
If you come to Reutlingen as a team (engineers for a project week, auditors for a few days, customers for a plant tour), people may arrive at different hours, and the schedule can change once the work starts. Separate cars for separate arrivals can then work better than one shared pickup.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If the team lands on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a group on the same timetable, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
In Advent the Christmas market spreads from the Marienkirche through the pedestrian zone towards the Albtorplatz. Book early if your visit falls in those weeks or in a fair week at the Messe Stuttgart. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in those weeks. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
