Getting Around Ludwigsburg
Ludwigsburg grew up around its baroque palace, and the Residenzschloss with the gardens of the Blühendes Barock still shapes the town north of Stuttgart. Two venues on the edge of the park, the Forum am Schlosspark and the MHPArena, host concerts, theatre and sport.
The town is also a business address. MANN+HUMMEL, the filtration specialist, has its headquarters and research centre here, and the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg trains film-makers in Ludwigsburg. A visit can therefore mean a meeting at a company campus in the morning and an event near the palace at night.
Ludwigsburg station is on the S4 and S5 lines, about 15 minutes from Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. By road Stuttgart is 15 km away, 30–40 minutes.
For a day of meetings between Ludwigsburg, Stuttgart and Heilbronn, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Ludwigsburg
Stuttgart Airport is 40 km from Ludwigsburg, 40–55 minutes by car on the A81 and the A8. The airport has four terminals: T1 to T3 under one roof, T4 a short walk away. Because the route runs past Stuttgart on two motorways, the hour of the day changes the journey more than the distance does.
Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden is 112 km west, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes, with Ryanair, Wizz Air and Eurowings among its airlines. Strasbourg Airport, across the French border, is 170 km away, 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 35 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Ludwigsburg, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 40–55 minutes to Stuttgart Airport outside the peak, more in the morning queues on the A81. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Ludwigsburg
From Ludwigsburg, the A81 is the way north and west. Heilbronn is 45 km away, 45 minutes to 1 hour; Karlsruhe is 79 km, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, and hosts the Federal Constitutional Court; Heidelberg is 104 km, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, and its Congress Center, opened in April 2024 next to the Hauptbahnhof, takes up to 3,800 people. Frankfurt am Main is 187 km north, 2 hours 5 minutes to 2 hours 50 minutes, a realistic run for a single meeting.
Colmar in Alsace is 219 km away, 2 hours 25 minutes to 3 hours 15 minutes, for a day among its half-timbered streets and wine villages. The drive into France is booked as one journey, with the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.
Germany has notified the European Commission of temporary checks at its internal land borders, and France has notified the European Commission of checks at its internal borders too. Carry the travel documents your nationality and itinerary require.

Groups & Event Travel in Ludwigsburg
The palace gardens set Ludwigsburg's calendar. The Blühendes Barock opens its season in March, and from late August to the start of November it holds what it calls the world's largest pumpkin exhibition. In early September the Venezianische Messe brings more than 2,000 people in costume to the Marktplatz for three days, and from late October the Leuchtende Traumpfade light up the park in the evenings. In Advent the Barock-Weihnachtsmarkt takes over the Marktplatz.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If guests travel on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a club or a school group, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Plan early for September weekends and for Advent. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in those weeks. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
