Getting Around Karlsruhe
Karlsruhe is the seat of the Federal Constitutional Court, Germany's highest court for constitutional questions, and a visit to Karlsruhe can mean a hearing, a legal conference or a meeting with a law firm.
Two venues set the business calendar. The Kongresszentrum in the city centre, within walking distance of the Hauptbahnhof, groups the Stadthalle, the Konzerthaus, the Schwarzwaldhalle and the Gartenhalle around the Festplatz, with about 20,000 m² of exhibition space. Messe Karlsruhe, with 52,000 m² of halls, stands outside the city in Rheinstetten, close to exit 48, Karlsruhe-Süd, of the A5. A fair day and a city-centre hotel are therefore two separate addresses.
The Hauptbahnhof has ICE trains and TGV services to Paris, a journey of around three hours. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a day split between a hearing in the centre, a stand at the Messe and a client office in town, book by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Karlsruhe
Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport, also known as Baden-Airpark, is 41 km south of the city, 45 minutes to 1 hour by car. Its timetable is mostly European city and holiday routes with airlines such as Ryanair, Wizz Air and Eurowings. Stuttgart Airport is 77 km east, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, and Strasbourg Airport, across the border in France, is 99 km, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
The run to Strasbourg Airport crosses the Rhine into France, yet it is booked in the same way as the drive to Stuttgart, as one transfer in one car.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Karlsruhe, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 45 minutes to 1 hour to Baden-Airpark and 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes to Stuttgart in normal traffic. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Karlsruhe
Strasbourg is 83 km from Karlsruhe, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, so a morning meeting there still leaves time to be back in Karlsruhe by evening. Basel is 194 km south, 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes. A trip to either city is booked as one journey, with the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.
Closer to home, Pforzheim is 29 km away, 35–45 minutes, and the spa town of Baden-Baden 43 km, 45 minutes to 1 hour. Heidelberg is 55 km north, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes, Mannheim 68 km, 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes, and Stuttgart 80 km, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Frankfurt is 138 km north on the A5, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes.
Germany has notified the European Commission of temporary checks at its internal land borders, and France has notified the European Commission of checks at its internal borders. As Switzerland is not in the EU customs union, customs rules apply at the Swiss border. Carry the travel documents your nationality and itinerary require.

Groups & Congress Travel in Karlsruhe
The Kongresszentrum is described as the largest inner-city congress centre in Germany, and the four halls around the Festplatz can hold a congress and an exhibition side by side. Trade fairs move out to Rheinstetten, where Messe Karlsruhe has around 7,000 parking spaces. In winter, the Christkindlesmarkt on the Marktplatz and Friedrichsplatz runs from 23 November to 23 December 2026.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If exhibitors arrive on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own, whether from Baden-Airpark, Stuttgart or Strasbourg. For a stand team moving between hotel and fairground, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Book early for fair dates in Rheinstetten and for the Advent season. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in those weeks. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
