Getting Around Cologne
Cologne is split by the Rhine. The cathedral, the old town and the main shopping streets are on the left bank; Koelnmesse, the exhibition centre, is across the river in Deutz. Its halls cover 284,000 m², and the two congress centres, East and North, seat 19,500 people between them. By road the grounds are 4 km from the cathedral, 10–15 minutes, because the car has to cross one of the Rhine bridges.
The city has two long-distance stations. Köln Hauptbahnhof stands right beside the cathedral and is served by ICE and Eurostar trains, with direct links to Brussels and Paris. Köln Messe/Deutz, next to the fair entrance, also has ICE services. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
On a day from a hotel near the cathedral to a stand in Deutz and on to a client in Ehrenfeld, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.
Cologne's low-emission zone (Umweltzone) covers 137 km², and entry is limited to vehicles with a green sticker. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Cologne
Cologne Bonn Airport is 17 km south-east of the city, 30–40 minutes by car along the A559. It has two passenger terminals, with an underground rail station in front of both. Düsseldorf Airport, 61 km north, is 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes away and has the larger long-haul network; Dortmund Airport is 101 km, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
For an exhibitor, the airport and the fair are close: Cologne Bonn Airport to Koelnmesse is 14 km, 30–40 minutes, so a car can take you and your sample cases from the plane straight to the hall.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Cologne, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 30–40 minutes to Cologne Bonn in normal traffic, more when the Rhine bridges fill up in the morning and late-afternoon peaks. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Cologne
Cologne is a crossroads of the Rhineland. Bonn, with the UN campus, is 30 km south, 35–45 minutes, and its World Conference Center takes up to 5,000 participants. Essen and the Ruhr are 73 km north, 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes; Messe Essen stands beside the Grugapark. Frankfurt is 191 km south-east, 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes. With the car booked from one address to the other, a meeting in another city needs no transfer between trains with your bags.
The Netherlands and Belgium are close. Maastricht is 104 km west, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, and Brussels, home of the EU institutions, is 209 km, 2 hours 20 minutes to 3 hours 10 minutes. A drive to either is one booking, with the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.
Germany has notified the European Commission of temporary checks at its internal land borders, and they include the borders with the Netherlands and Belgium. Carry the travel documents your nationality and itinerary require.

Groups & Congress Travel in Cologne
Koelnmesse sets the rhythm of the year. imm cologne, the furniture fair, opens the calendar in January; gamescom fills Deutz in late August; DMEXCO follows in September and ART COLOGNE in November. Anuga, the food fair, is held in October in odd-numbered years, next from 9 to 13 October 2027. Carnival brings its own crowds: the street celebrations start on Weiberfastnacht, the Thursday before Rosenmontag.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If exhibitors and guests come in on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a stand team moving at the same hour, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Plan the big fair weeks, Carnival and the Christmas market season from mid-November well in advance. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early on those dates. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
