Getting Around Bonn
Bonn's international side is concentrated in the former government quarter by the Rhine. The UN Campus there houses 27 United Nations organisations, the largest being the secretariat of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. Next to it is the World Conference Center Bonn, opened in 2015 for up to 5,000 participants. Deutsche Telekom and DHL Group, whose head office is the Post Tower, also have their headquarters in Bonn.
From Bonn Hauptbahnhof, the conference centre is 3 km by road, 10–15 minutes. ICE trains on the Cologne–Frankfurt high-speed line use Siegburg/Bonn station, 15 km to the east. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
Since 3 June 2026 the Nordbrücke, the A565 motorway bridge over the Rhine, has been closed, and traffic between the two banks uses the other bridges. For a day of meetings on the UN Campus, at a ministry and at a company on the other bank, book by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Bonn
Cologne Bonn Airport is 25 km north of Bonn, 35–45 minutes by car on the A59. The airport lies on the right bank of the Rhine, so with the Nordbrücke closed, a pickup on the left bank, in the centre or in Bad Godesberg, now crosses the river on another bridge. Düsseldorf Airport is 84 km north, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, and Dortmund Airport 124 km, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours. The right one depends on your airline and route. At Cologne Bonn the two terminals share an underground station that ICE trains also serve; give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Bonn, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 35–45 minutes to Cologne Bonn when traffic flows, more while the remaining Rhine bridges carry the extra load at rush hour. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Bonn
Bonn sits at the southern end of the Rhineland's chain of cities. Cologne is 31 km north, 35–45 minutes, and Düsseldorf, the state capital, 74 km, 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes, which keeps a meeting in either city within a short morning. In Cologne the Koelnmesse hosts gamescom every August; the 2027 edition is planned for 23 to 29 August. For a delegation going on to a second appointment, the car is booked from door to door and the bags never leave it.
Two neighbouring countries are within reach. Maastricht, in the Netherlands, is 127 km, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours. Luxembourg, with its European institutions, is 205 km south-west, 2 hours 15 minutes to 3 hours. Each trip is a single booking, with the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.
Germany has notified the European Commission of temporary checks at its internal land borders, so a check is possible on the way back into Germany. Carry the travel documents your nationality and itinerary require.

Groups & Congress Travel in Bonn
Each June the UN climate negotiators meet at the World Conference Center Bonn for the mid-year sessions of the climate convention; in 2026 they ran from 8 to 18 June. Its main hall seats 2,900 people. Delegations arrive from many countries within a few days and need transfers between hotels, the UN Campus and the airport. The Beethovenfest also brings concert audiences to the city; in 2027 it has two editions, in April and in September.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If a delegation lands on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. When colleagues travel together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
For June and the festival weeks, reserve as soon as the programme is known. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early around the conferences. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
