Getting Around Wickford
Wickford is a town in the Borough of Basildon, in south Essex, a short drive north of Basildon itself and west of Rayleigh. Its station is the place where the branch line to Southminster leaves the main line.
From Wickford station, Greater Anglia trains run to London Liverpool Street, and the Southminster branch heads east towards the Crouch Valley. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. If you arrive on the branch line and change here, give that train as well.
For a house on one of the residential estates around the town, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.
When your plans take you between Wickford, Basildon and Rayleigh in one day, book by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Wickford
Southend Airport is 11 miles east, 30–40 minutes by car, and easyJet has based aircraft there since 31 March 2025. London City Airport is 30 miles west, 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes, and Stansted Airport 31 miles north-west, also 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes; Stansted counted 29.76 million passengers in 2025.
Gatwick is 57 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes, and Luton Airport 58 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For the homeward leg, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Wickford, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: Southend is close, but the drive to Gatwick goes round the M25 and over the Thames, and that part sets the time. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Groups & Event Travel in Wickford
Picture a family flying from Southend for a reunion abroad: grandparents, parents, children and a dozen suitcases. Rather than three cars, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, pushchairs and car seats included.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If some relatives come home separately, on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in the school holidays and at Easter. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
