Getting Around Gillingham
Gillingham is one of the Medway towns in Kent, run by Medway Council together with Chatham, Rochester and Strood. It should not be confused with Gillingham in Dorset. Two addresses stand out: Medway Maritime Hospital, the main hospital for the area, and Priestfield Stadium, home ground of Gillingham FC.
From Gillingham station, high-speed Southeastern services reach St Pancras, and mainline trains run to Victoria and London Bridge. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. The M2, between junctions 1 and 4, runs south of the town and links the Medway towns with London and Canterbury.
For a ward entrance at the hospital or a house in one of the terraced streets, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop. A day split between Gillingham, Chatham Maritime and Rochester can be reserved by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Gillingham
London City Airport is 32 miles, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Gatwick is further, 52 miles, yet by motorway the time is similar, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. London Southend Airport is 44 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, and Stansted Airport 56 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes.
Heathrow, the UK's largest airport with 84.5 million passengers in 2025 and flights from Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5, is 74 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For a flight home, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Gillingham, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: Heathrow means a long stretch of the M25, so build in a margin for a midday long-haul flight. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Gillingham
Chatham is next door, 2 miles, 10–15 minutes. Rochester, with its Norman castle and cathedral, is 3 miles, 20–30 minutes.
Canterbury is 28 miles east along the M2, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes, for the cathedral and the old city. Dover is 45 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes, for its castle or a ferry crossing.
Blenheim Palace, the Oxfordshire house where Churchill was born, is the long day out: 119 miles, 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours 15 minutes. With a chauffeur at the wheel, the long motorway miles are time to rest or work.

Groups & Event Travel in Gillingham
Football is the clearest reason for groups to come to Gillingham. A visiting squad with staff, or a party of supporters following their club to Priestfield, needs to arrive together and on time for kick-off.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If players or guests fly in on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. To keep a team in one vehicle, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, kit bags and medical cases included.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early on home match days at Priestfield. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
