Getting Around Wolfsburg
Wolfsburg grew around one factory. The Volkswagen plant, founded in 1938, covers about 6.5 km² on the north bank of the Mittelland Canal; Volkswagen describes it as the largest contiguous car factory in the world, and it is the headquarters of the Volkswagen brand. A meeting "at Volkswagen" can therefore mean very different gates, so the exact building or gate belongs in the booking.
Next to the plant is the Autostadt, Volkswagen's visitor park, where customers collect new cars at the CustomerCentre. Its car towers are visible from the Hauptbahnhof, and the walk across the city bridge takes only minutes. The station has direct ICE trains to Berlin. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a supplier day with a meeting in the plant and a session at the Autostadt, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.
Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Wolfsburg
Hannover Airport is 93 km west, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes via the A39 and A2. Leipzig/Halle Airport is 190 km and Bremen Airport 193 km, both 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
If you fly into Hannover to collect a new car, a transfer that ends at the Autostadt is a one-way trip: you drive home in your own car. The Autostadt asks customers to check in 90 minutes before the collection appointment, so plan the landing, the 93 km drive and that margin together.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Wolfsburg, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes to Hannover Airport, longer at the end of a shift at the plant. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Wolfsburg
Braunschweig is the nearest city, 34 km south, 40–55 minutes, followed by Salzgitter, 50 km, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes, and Hildesheim, 83 km, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Magdeburg, the capital of Saxony-Anhalt, is 90 km east, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes, and Hanover 88 km west, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes.
Berlin is 228 km away, 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours 25 minutes, and Hamburg 220 km, 2 hours 25 minutes to 3 hours 15 minutes. Further south and east, Leipzig is 205 km, 2 hours 15 minutes to 3 hours, Dresden 308 km, 3 hours 15 minutes to 4 hours 25 minutes, and Weimar 300 km, 3 hours 10 minutes to 4 hours 15 minutes; Bremen is 193 km west, 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes. A supplier team that ends a week in Wolfsburg with a meeting in Berlin or a customer in Hamburg can travel by road with samples and documents in one car.
From your hotel in Wolfsburg to the address in the other city, each drive is one booking. When one day holds meetings in two of these cities, an hourly booking fits better.

Groups & Event Travel in Wolfsburg
Groups that come to Wolfsburg because of Volkswagen include supplier teams, customer delegations, visitors to the plant and the Autostadt, and families collecting a new car together. The Autostadt's luggage service brings bags to the new car at handover, which suits guests who arrive with suitcases and drive on.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If a delegation lands on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own from Hannover Airport. For a group visiting the plant together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
For the week of HANNOVER MESSE in April, which draws visitors to the region, and for any large delegation, book early. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in that week. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
