Getting Around Paderborn
Paderborn, with about 156,000 residents, grew up around its springs: next to the cathedral, the river Pader rises from more than 200 springs, and the Kaiserpfalz, the imperial palace, stands beside it. If you are meeting someone in the old town, the cathedral is the easiest landmark to give.
The city is also a technology town. The University of Paderborn has around 20,000 students, and Diebold Nixdorf, Benteler, Claas and Siemens have sites here. On Fürstenallee, the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum calls itself the world's biggest computer museum, with 6,000 m² of exhibition space, and doubles as an event venue.
Paderborn Hauptbahnhof is an Intercity stop on the Hamm–Warburg line. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. The A33 links the city with Bielefeld, 45 km away, 45 minutes to 1 hour.
If a meeting at a technology firm, a museum visit and an evening in the cathedral quarter fill one day, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Paderborn
Paderborn has its own airport. Paderborn Lippstadt is at Büren-Ahden, 19 km from the city, 25–35 minutes by car. It is a one-terminal airport with mostly holiday flights, to destinations such as Mallorca, Málaga, Antalya, Hurghada, Heraklion and, with Aegean since July 2026, Rhodes.
For a scheduled business route, look further afield. Kassel Airport is 75 km away, 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes; Dortmund Airport 90 km, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes; Hannover Airport 148 km, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Paderborn, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 25–35 minutes to Büren-Ahden, but close to two hours or more to Hanover. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Paderborn
Paderborn sits between the Ruhr and northern Hesse. Kassel is 95 km south-east on the A33 and A44, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, and Dortmund 102 km west, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. Hanover is 146 km north-east, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes. Dr. Oetker, DMG Mori and Schüco are based in Bielefeld, and Hamm, 88 km away, is the seat of Germany's largest higher regional court. Kassel hosts documenta 16 from 12 June to 19 September 2027, and its Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe has been UNESCO World Heritage since 2013. Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park holds 81,365 spectators. The Hannover Messe runs from 5 to 8 April 2027 on grounds with about 392,000 m² of hall space.
Frankfurt is 251 km away, 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours 45 minutes. Whether the goal is an office in the city or a long-haul departure at FRA, the whole distance is covered in one vehicle: no change of trains in Kassel or Hamm, no suitcase carried across a platform. The Frankfurt Book Fair is held from 6 to 10 October 2027.

Groups & Event Travel in Paderborn
Every July Paderborn celebrates Libori, the festival of its patron saint St Liborius, whose relics came to the city in 836. During the festival the centre around the cathedral can be crowded, so allow more time to reach a hotel there. The Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum hosts conferences and company events throughout the year.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If guests fly in on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a group on a museum visit or a factory tour, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
If your holiday flight from Paderborn Lippstadt falls in the school holidays, or your visit falls in Libori week, plan ahead. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early at those times. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
