Getting Around Eindhoven

Eindhoven is the centre of the Brainport technology region, and much of its business sits outside the city centre. The High Tech Campus, on the south-western edge, brings together about 260 companies. Strijp-S, a former Philips site just west of the centre, is now a creative district with offices, event halls and its own rail halt. The Evoluon, a dome-shaped conference centre for up to 1,500 people, is close to the campus. Hotels are mostly in the compact centre around Stratumseind and the Markt.

Eindhoven Centraal has direct Intercity trains to Amsterdam and the rest of the country. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.

For a day of meetings at the High Tech Campus or a presentation at the Evoluon, hourly service reserves one chauffeur and one vehicle for the time you book.

Eindhoven plans to introduce a low-emission zone for older diesel cars from 1 January 2027. With the full address in your booking, we can tell you where the car can stop.

Airport Transfers in Eindhoven

Eindhoven Airport is 9 km west of the centre. The drive usually takes 12–20 minutes, on city roads and the ring road rather than a motorway. In 2027 the airport is due to close to all flights from February to mid-July while its runway is renovated. Airlines move those flights to other airports; for Transavia and TUI, Eindhoven Airport names Weeze Airport in Germany, 62 km away, and Maastricht Aachen. Maastricht Aachen Airport is 77 km away, Dusseldorf Airport 116 km and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol 129 km; the best choice depends on your airline, your route and, in 2027, your travel dates.

On the short run, the ring road is what sets the time. On the longer ones, the A2 carries traffic towards Schiphol and Maastricht, and the A67 leads towards Germany. Traffic and weather can change the drive time.

For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Eindhoven, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 12–20 minutes from the centre to the airport, longer in heavy traffic. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Eindhoven

Eindhoven sits closer to Belgium and Germany than to most of the Randstad. Amsterdam is 124 km north on the A2, and Groningen 254 km. A plant visit near Eindhoven followed by head-office meetings in Amsterdam is one booking from hotel to hotel, and the luggage stays in the car.

Across the border, Antwerp is 89 km and Brussels 130 km. Liege is 118 km via Maastricht, Dusseldorf 112 km and Cologne 144 km via the A67. On any of these runs you get the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.

The Netherlands ended its temporary internal border checks on 30 September 2026; since 1 October, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee has carried out mobile checks in the border area. Germany checks at its border with the Netherlands until 15 March 2027. Each passenger needs the travel documents required for their nationality and route.

Groups & Congress Travel in Eindhoven

Groups come to Eindhoven for technology business and for design. Engineering teams and supplier delegations visit the High Tech Campus and the wider Brainport region throughout the year. When, for example, Dutch Design Week is held across the city in October, it presents more than 2,600 designers to over 350,000 visitors.

When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation; when a team flies in on different flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is chosen to fit what you carry, from suitcases to demo equipment.

Book well ahead for October, when local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.

Chauffeur Service in Eindhoven

Trusted by professionals at
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service puts both directions in a single reservation: Eindhoven Airport to your hotel on arrival and back on the last day, or there and back to Antwerp or Maastricht when the meetings are across the region. October counts most, during Dutch Design Week, when local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. You set both pickup times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service is booked by time, not by route. Name the address in Eindhoven where the day starts, the address where it finishes and how many hours you want, and one chauffeur and one car are reserved for you for that time. Share the plan for the day when you book, and the chauffeur will have it in advance. It suits a day of meetings or visits rather than one ride across town.
One-Way Service
One-Way Service takes you from one address to another: Eindhoven Airport to a hotel in the centre, Eindhoven Centraal to the High Tech Campus, or Schiphol to an office at Strijp-S. On arrival, the pickup follows the actual landing time of your flight; for a departure, you choose the pickup time.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get from Eindhoven Airport to the city centre?

Eindhoven Airport is 9 km west of the centre. The drive usually takes 12–20 minutes, on city roads and the ring road rather than a motorway. Your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur.

Is Eindhoven Airport closed in 2027?

Yes. Eindhoven Airport is due to close to all flights from February to 19 July 2027 while the runway is renovated and a better landing system for fog is installed. Each airline chooses its own alternative airport; for Transavia and TUI, Eindhoven Airport names Weeze Airport in Germany, 62 km from Eindhoven, and Maastricht Aachen Airport, 77 km away. Check your ticket for the departure airport before you book the transfer.

How far is Eindhoven from Amsterdam?

Central Amsterdam is 124 km north of Eindhoven on the A2. The drive takes 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes. Schiphol is a similar distance, 129 km, so travellers on long-haul flights can land there and continue by car in one booking.

Which UK airports fly to Eindhoven?

Eindhoven Airport lists two UK routes: London Stansted and Manchester, both flown by Ryanair. There are no flights while the airport is closed from February to 19 July 2027. From Eindhoven Airport to the city centre is 9 km, usually 12–20 minutes.

How do I get from Eindhoven Airport to Efteling?

Efteling, in Kaatsheuvel, is 43 km from Eindhoven Airport via the A58. The drive takes 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes. A family or group with luggage can book one vehicle for the whole party; the vehicle is matched to the load.

Is a chauffeur service in Eindhoven the same as a taxi?

Legally, yes: in the Netherlands any paid passenger transport by car is taxi transport, pre-booked chauffeur services included, while groups of more than eight travel under the rules for private coach transport. The practical difference is the booking: you reserve the car before the trip instead of queuing at a rank, and the vehicle and pickup time are agreed beforehand. For an airport pickup, the chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land.
