Getting Around Amsterdam
Most hotels and visitor addresses are in the historic centre, inside the Canal Ring. The main business district, Zuidas, lies to the south along the A10 ring road, and RAI Amsterdam, the country's largest convention centre, is on its edge. RAI covers about 112,000 m² in 12 halls. Meetings in Zuidas and sessions at the RAI are close to each other, but a hotel in the centre is a separate drive through city streets.
International trains use Amsterdam Centraal, with direct Eurostar services to Brussels and Paris. The high-speed Intercity Direct to Rotterdam leaves from Amsterdam Zuid, right next to Zuidas. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a full day of meetings in Zuidas or sessions at the RAI, hourly service reserves one chauffeur and one vehicle for the time you book.
Most of the city inside the A10 is a low-emission zone (milieuzone); for cars it applies to older diesel vehicles. With the full address in your booking, we can tell you where the car can stop.

Airport Transfers in Amsterdam
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is 22 km from the centre. The drive takes 20–45 minutes, depending on the hour. The road runs on the A4 and then the A10 ring, and Zuidas sits directly off the southern A10, so the business district is the shortest run from the terminal. Rotterdam The Hague Airport, 74 km away, is an alternative for some routes; which one suits you depends on your airline.
The A10 decides most of the timing. Weekday peaks slow the southern stretch of the ring, and roadworks for the Zuidasdok project close parts of the A10 South and A4 on some weekends. Traffic and weather can change the drive time.
For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Amsterdam, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 20–45 minutes from the centre to Schiphol, longer in heavy traffic. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Amsterdam
Within the Netherlands the longer runs go north and south. Groningen is 184 km away on the A6 and A7, and Maastricht 215 km on the A2. When a congress in Amsterdam is followed by a site visit in Limburg, the drive from your Amsterdam hotel to Limburg is one booking, and the cases stay in the car.
Belgium and Germany are within a day's drive. Antwerp is 161 km, Brussels 205 km and Bruges 248 km, all by the A2 and A16 towards the border. Dusseldorf is 225 km and Cologne 263 km, via the A12 and the German A3. On any of these you get the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.
The Netherlands ended its temporary internal border checks on 30 September 2026; since 1 October, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee has carried out mobile checks in the border area. Germany checks at its border with the Netherlands until 15 March 2027. Each passenger needs the travel documents required for their nationality and route.

Groups & Congress Travel in Amsterdam
Large delegations arrive in Amsterdam for the trade fairs and congresses at the RAI. When, for example, IBC was held there in September 2026, it drew 41,225 attendees from 170 countries. Cruise groups add to that: Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, a 15-minute walk from Centraal, is where ocean ships berth on the IJ.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation; when a delegation arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is chosen to fit the luggage. In central Amsterdam, coaches over 7.5 tonnes need an exemption inside the S100 ring and otherwise set down on the ring or at De Ruijterkade Oost, so give the full address when you book.
Book well ahead for September, when local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
