Getting Around Torremolinos
Torremolinos stretches along about 7 km of coast, with four beaches. From east to west they are Los Álamos, Playamar, El Bajondillo, just below the town centre, and La Carihuela, the old fishing quarter known for its fried fish. From the centre you can walk down the busy Calle San Miguel to El Bajondillo; Los Álamos at one end and La Carihuela at the other are a drive from each other.
Torremolinos has its own station on the C-1 commuter line to the airport and Málaga, but the AVE and other long-distance trains arrive at María Zambrano in Málaga, about 15 km away. Include your train details and arrival time when booking so we can arrange your pickup at the station.
Beyond the promenade at La Carihuela, the coast continues to Puerto Marina in Benalmádena, about 4 km from the centre, and the old town of Málaga is about 18 km east. For an evening out, book a transfer there and a second one back at the pickup time you set.
Some guests come for work. The Palacio de Congresos de la Costa del Sol opened here in 1970, a round building on a 70,000 m² site with its own gardens, and it still hosts meetings and exhibitions.
A small group of streets in the town centre forms Torremolinos' low-emission zone, mapped by the town hall. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers to Torremolinos
Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport is about 6 km from Torremolinos, and the drive takes 10 to 20 minutes. AGP is the airport to use: no other airport is nearly as close.
It is a short drive, which can take longer at peak hours and in July and August. Journey times vary with traffic and the time of day.
Book with your flight number: your chauffeur monitors your flight and adjusts the pickup if your arrival time changes. Your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. Leaving Torremolinos, allow for the drive to the airport when choosing your pickup time: 10 to 20 minutes to AGP, longer in July and August. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Torremolinos
Some holidays here come in two parts. A few nights in Málaga, about 18 km east, for a city stay in the old town, or a move west to Marbella, about 47 km along the coast, for the remaining days. The move is a single booking between the two hotels; specify your luggage when booking so a suitable vehicle can be arranged.
The commuter train runs as far as Fuengirola and does not reach Marbella, so by car the move to Marbella is one direct run. Inland, Ronda is about 105 km away and Granada about 140 km, both long day trips or a stay of their own, and each is a single journey from the hotel to the address at the far end.
For a journey home by rail, the AVE leaves from María Zambrano in Málaga, so the transfer runs from Torremolinos to the station at the pickup time you set.

Groups, Luggage & Summer Travel in Torremolinos
Torremolinos is one of the big hotel towns of the Costa del Sol: in May 2026 it had 23,125 hotel places in 75 open establishments. Its guests include groups of many kinds, from families travelling together to delegates for the Palacio de Congresos. Suitcases, buggies and display material matter alongside the number of travellers when choosing the vehicle, so tell us what you are bringing and the vehicle is matched to the load. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats. If the group arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Two events add to the summer season. Pride Torremolinos in June centres on the Plaza de La Nogalera, and the Feria de San Miguel follows in late September.
The dates to book early are July and August, Pride in June and the Feria in late September. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for those dates. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
