Málaga Airport to Torremolinos: Route and Drive Time
Torremolinos is the closest resort to Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport, 6 km from the terminal. The airport lies in the Churriana district, south-west of the city of Málaga, so the car heads west towards the coast and never enters Málaga itself. The drive usually takes 10–20 minutes.
The town runs along about 7 km of shore, and your street decides where in that range you arrive. Los Álamos is the beach at the eastern end, towards Málaga; Playamar and El Bajondillo, below the town centre, follow; La Carihuela, the old fishing quarter, is at the western end, towards Benalmádena. The daily peaks and the months of July and August lengthen even this short run.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. With so little road between the runway and the hotel, the useful details are the hotel name and street: send them with your flight number.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Málaga Airport
Málaga Airport works from two linked terminals, T2 and T3, which form a single passenger area. Arrivals from both come out on the same level, so the meeting point stays the same whichever terminal your airline uses. T3, opened in 2010, is the larger building, with 11 baggage carousels and a separate one for special baggage.
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. On a transfer of 10–20 minutes, the part between the aircraft door and the car can take longer than the road: passengers from outside the Schengen area pass passport control first, and oversized items come off their own belt. Your chauffeur's timing follows the aircraft, so none of that has to be guessed at booking.

Arriving at Your Hotel in Torremolinos
The addresses follow the four beaches: Los Álamos and Playamar in the east, El Bajondillo below the centre, La Carihuela in the west. The centre itself is where access narrows. Calle San Miguel, the main shopping street leading down towards El Bajondillo, is pedestrian, and a small group of central streets forms the town's low-emission zone, published by the ayuntamiento on a map.
For the town's Palacio de Congresos, the round building opened in 1970 on a site with its own gardens, give the session time as well as the address, so the arrival fits the programme and not only the flight.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For an apartment or hotel on or just off Calle San Miguel, we will tell you the nearest point the car can reach.

From Torremolinos Back to Málaga Airport
Leaving Torremolinos, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 10–20 minutes from Torremolinos to AGP, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Put your airline and flight number in the booking. T2 and T3 form one terminal area, and the flight number tells the chauffeur which entrance to use.
Not every stay ends at the airport. If the last nights are in the old town of Málaga, 18 km east of Torremolinos, 30–40 minutes by road, the car takes you from hotel to hotel. If the journey home is by AVE, the high-speed trains leave from María Zambrano station in Málaga, about 15 km from the town, and the transfer is booked to the station.
