Getting Around Cascais
The historic centre of Cascais wraps around a small bay, next to the marina and the railway station. From there the coast runs east through Monte Estoril and Estoril towards Lisbon, and west to the Atlantic beach at Guincho and the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Hotels sit along the whole stretch, so "Cascais" can mean the bay, Estoril or Guincho.
Cascais has no long-distance station. The suburban Cascais line runs to Cais do Sodré in central Lisbon in 30–40 minutes, and Alfa Pendular and Intercidades trains arrive at Lisboa-Oriente or Santa Apolónia. If you arrive by long-distance train, the car can meet you in Lisbon: add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
Nearby destinations range from Estoril, 3 km away, to Sintra, 16 km inland, and Lisbon, 31 km. A round trip covers the ride there and back, with both pickup times chosen by you; for a longer day, hourly service reserves one chauffeur and one vehicle for the hours you choose.
For business, the Estoril Congress Centre sits on the seafront next to the Casino, a short walk from Estoril station, with a 573-seat auditorium and 20 modular rooms. Send the full address with your booking, and support will say how close to it a car can get.

Airport Transfers to Cascais
Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport is the airport for Cascais, 38 km away. The transfer usually takes 35–55 minutes. There is no closer airport, and Faro and Porto are too far for a sensible arrival, so the question is not which airport but which hour.
The road is the A5 motorway, which links Lisbon with Estoril and Cascais. On summer weekends it fills with beach traffic: westbound towards Carcavelos, Estoril and Cascais from Saturday morning, and eastbound towards Lisbon on Sunday evening. On weekdays the morning and evening rush slow the Lisbon end. Journey times vary with traffic and weather.
Book with your flight number: your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Cascais, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 35–55 minutes to the airport, longer on a summer Sunday evening. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Cascais
A stay in Cascais often includes a few nights in Lisbon, 31 km east. Moving from a hotel on the coast to one in the city takes a single booking, with your suitcases in the same car. The same applies to Sintra, 16 km away, if you want to stay in the hills.
For a longer day or a second base, Ericeira, the surf town on the Atlantic coast, is 38 km north. Tomar, in central Portugal, is 166 km away on the A5, A9, A1 and A23. It works as a day out with a return in the evening, or as the next leg of a longer route north.
Every one of these journeys is booked from the address you leave to the address you arrive at, with the pickup time you choose.

Groups, Luggage & Summer Travel in Cascais
Groups in Cascais come for different reasons. A congress at Estoril brings delegates with laptop bags and exhibition material, a golf or family group brings clubs, buggies and beach kit, and in July the Estoril Open, an ATP tennis tournament at the Clube de Ténis do Estoril, brings players' guests and spectators. Tell us what you are bringing, and the vehicle will be chosen to fit it: a Sprinter van takes up to 12 people with their bags, and larger groups travel by coach, with up to 56 seats. If the group arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
For a day trip to Sintra, note that tourist coaches no longer enter Sintra's historic centre and park at the Lourel and Ramalhão car parks outside it; a van or car can be the better fit for a small group.
Book early for June to September, the beach season, and for the week of the Estoril Open in July: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
