Getting Around Albufeira
Albufeira is a resort with several centres. The whitewashed Old Town sits on the clifftop above the beaches. The Marina is about 1.5 km to the west, and Areias de São João, known as the Strip and home to most of the nightlife, is about 2 km to the east. Further east again are Olhos de Água and Santa Eulália, with villas and beach hotels. Which part you stay in decides how long the drive to dinner is.
There is no station in the town itself. Albufeira-Ferreiras, about 6–7 km north, has direct Intercidades trains to and from Lisbon. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
Other places along the coast are short drives: Vilamoura and its marina are 18 km east, Portimão 41 km west. A round trip covers the ride there and back, with both pickup times chosen by you; for a longer day, hourly service reserves one chauffeur and one vehicle for the hours you choose.
Streets in the Old Town are narrow and many are pedestrian, so a car cannot always reach a hotel door there. Send the full address with your booking, and support will say how close to it a car can get.

Airport Transfers to Albufeira
Faro Airport is the airport for Albufeira, 45 km east, and the transfer takes 30–50 minutes. Seville Airport, 242 km away in Spain, and Lisbon Airport, 256 km, are much longer drives; they make sense only when a flight to either fits your dates far better, as each drive takes 2 hours 50 minutes to 3 hours 50 minutes.
From Faro the route is the A22 motorway, then a short last stretch into town. The EN125, the old coast road between Faro and Albufeira, is the slow alternative: narrow, with many roundabouts, and in July and August an incident can block it for an hour or more. Where you are staying also matters, as the Strip and Olhos de Água are on the Faro side of the Old Town. Traffic and weather both affect the journey time.
Book with your flight number: your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Albufeira, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 30–50 minutes to Faro Airport, longer in high summer. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Albufeira
A week in Albufeira can be half of a longer holiday. Lagos, 56 km west along the A22, is a second base on the coast, and Lisbon about 250 km north for a city stay afterwards. Moving between hotels is one booking from the door you leave to the door you arrive at, with the suitcases travelling in the same car.
Seville is 228 km east, by the A22 motorway, across the Guadiana into Spain at Ayamonte, and on along the A-49. A few days in Seville can follow the beach, and you get the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.
The Portugal–Spain border is an internal Schengen border. Bring the travel documents required for your nationality and your route.

Groups, Luggage & Summer Travel in Albufeira
Albufeira is a summer resort, and groups here travel heavy. A family on a fortnight's holiday brings buggies and beach kit, a golf group brings a bag of clubs per player, and friends arriving for a celebration bring at least one suitcase each. Tell us what you are bringing, and the vehicle will be chosen to fit it: a Sprinter van takes up to 12 people with their bags, and larger groups travel by coach, with up to 56 seats. If the group arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
In summer the coast road is the risk. The EN125 between Faro and Albufeira carries heavy traffic in July and August, and changeover days, when many guests travel at once, bring the heaviest traffic on the roads to the airport. Group transfers on those days are best booked together with the rest of the holiday.
The weeks to book early are June to September: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
