Getting Around Trieste
Trieste's centre opens onto the sea at Piazza Unità d'Italia, Europe's largest square facing the sea. The cruise terminal at the Stazione Marittima is a few steps from the square, and the Generali Convention Center occupies two restored warehouses in the Porto Vecchio, the old port, on Viale Miramare. If your hotel is on the seafront, the ship, the congress and the old town are all short drives apart.
Trieste Centrale is in Piazza della Libertà, and a few direct Frecciarossa trains a day reach Milan in about 4 hours. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
Hourly service suits a congress day at the Generali Convention Center. Booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.
Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Trieste
Trieste Airport is 40 km from the centre on the A4 and the RA13, usually 40–55 minutes by car. Two more airports widen the choice of flights: Ljubljana, across the border in Slovenia, 115 km away, and Venice Marco Polo, 151 km. Trieste is the closest; if your flight uses one of the others, the car is booked to that terminal instead.
The RA13 links the city to the A4, so most of each run is fast road. Journey times vary with traffic and weather.
For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Trieste, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 40–55 minutes to Trieste Airport, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes to Ljubljana, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes to Marco Polo, longer in heavy traffic. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Trieste
Slovenia begins just outside the city. Koper is 21 km away and Ljubljana 94 km, so a meeting in either can be a morning's drive from your Trieste hotel. On both routes you travel with the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.
Within Italy, Udine is 74 km away on the A4 and A23, and Venice 161 km. A stay that continues in Venice is one booking from hotel to Piazzale Roma, the last point a car can reach there.
Italy runs checks at its land border with Slovenia under notifications to the European Commission. Have the travel documents required for your nationality and route with you.

Groups & Congress Travel in Trieste
Groups come to Trieste for congresses, cruises and sailing. When, for example, a congress fills the Generali Convention Center, its main auditorium alone seats 1,920. The Stazione Marittima handled 455,469 cruise passengers in 2025; for a cruise group, give the ship's name with the booking.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation; where guests fly into different airports, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Reserve well ahead for October, when the Barcolana regatta is sailed in the gulf, with 1,865 boats in 2025: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
