Getting Around Courmayeur
Courmayeur lies at the foot of Mont Blanc, and one of its main departures is not in the centre: the Skyway Monte Bianco cable car leaves from Pontal d'Entrèves, 3 km up the road, for Pointe Helbronner. If your day starts there, name the lower station as the pickup or drop-off address.
There is no working railway in the upper valley: trains on the Aosta–Pré-Saint-Didier line have been suspended since December 2015. The nearest active station is Aosta, 35 km away on the A5. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
La Thuile is 15 km from Courmayeur and Aosta 35 km, both within reach for an evening. Booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve, so dinner out and the drive home are one reservation.
Put the full hotel address in the booking; we check it and let you know how near the hotel the car can stop.

Airport Transfers to Courmayeur
Geneva is the nearest airport by road, 104 km away, about 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes. The road goes under Mont Blanc by the tunnel and then over French territory, so it involves two borders. Turin Airport is 150 km, about 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes, and keeps the whole journey in Italy on the A5. Milan Malpensa, 213 km, takes about 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours 25 minutes. The car is sent to whichever of them your ticket shows.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Whichever airport you choose, the last kilometres are mountain road, and snow there adds time.
For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Courmayeur, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes to Geneva, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes to Turin, longer in snow. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Courmayeur
A stay in Courmayeur often continues in Turin, 148 km down the A5, or Milan, 220 km. For a second resort in the same valley, Breuil-Cervinia is 87 km away. The car goes from hotel to hotel, so the skis stay in the vehicle rather than on a train.
France is on the other side of the Mont Blanc tunnel: Chamonix is 22 km away and Geneva 99 km, through France into Switzerland. On these routes you have the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.
France has notified the European Commission of temporary checks at its internal borders, currently until 31 October 2026, the Italian border included. As Switzerland is not in the EU customs union, customs rules apply at the Swiss border. Have with you the travel documents that your nationality and itinerary require.

Groups, Equipment & Winter Road Travel in Courmayeur
A group heading for the pistes or the high mountain brings ropes, touring skis and duffel bags, which take space that a passenger count does not show. List the equipment with the reservation and we choose the vehicle to fit. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats. For a party arriving on separate flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
The winter rule arrives early in this valley. From 15 October to 15 April Anas makes winter tyres or chains on board compulsory on the SS26 della Valle d'Aosta and on the SS26 Dir from Pré-Saint-Didier to the Mont Blanc tunnel, the last stretch into Courmayeur.
For the winter, reserve well ahead: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
