Airport Transfers from Turin Airport (TRN) to Courmayeur

One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Caselle to a hotel in central Courmayeur, the airport to a chalet in Entrèves by the Skyway, or Courmayeur back to Turin Airport after the last day on the mountain. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. For a departure, the pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Turin Airport to your hotel in Courmayeur at the start of the stay, and the hotel back to Caselle at the end. For a ski week or a summer climbing trip with fixed dates, set the return drive at the same time and the whole journey sits on one booking. You choose both pickup times, and your confirmation shows them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at TRN, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Turin Airport to Courmayeur: Route and Drive Time

Of the 150 km between Turin Airport and Courmayeur, nearly every one is on a motorway. The car joins the A5 near Turin and follows it north-west through Ivrea, into the Aosta Valley, past Aosta and up to Courmayeur at the foot of Mont Blanc. The drive usually takes 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes.

Because the A5 runs the full length of the valley, this route has fewer mountain-road kilometres than most alpine transfers. Only the last few kilometres into the village are local roads. What changes the time is weather in the upper valley, and traffic on the winter weekends when many visitors arrive together.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. With your flight number, give the address in Courmayeur itself or in the hamlets around it, such as Entrèves or Dolonne, which are reached by separate roads.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Turin Airport

There is one terminal at Turin, and a single arrivals exit on its ground floor, where baggage reclaim also is. Whichever airline brings you, you leave through that exit, so there is no terminal to check before booking.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. For a climber whose connecting flight is late, the car is booked to that flight and not to the time written in the plan.

Mountaineering and ski luggage often arrives at a separate oversize belt. List ropes, ski bags and duffels with the booking, so the car has the space for them before you land.

Arriving at Your Hotel in Courmayeur

Courmayeur is compact, but its hotels are spread over the centre and the hamlets around it. One of its main departure points is outside the village: the Skyway Monte Bianco, which climbs to Pointe Helbronner, starts at Pontal d'Entrèves, a 3 km drive beyond the centre. Guests who come for the high mountain often stay near it.

For a hotel on the pedestrian streets of the centre, or a chalet on a narrow side road in Dolonne or Entrèves, the drop-off point depends on the exact address. Send the owner's directions for any private access.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. No train reaches Courmayeur today, as the branch line up from Aosta has carried no passengers since late 2015; the car covers the whole distance.

From Courmayeur Back to Turin Airport

Leaving Courmayeur, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes to Turin Airport, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.

The return follows the A5 down the valley all the way, and after a snowfall the upper section near Courmayeur is the slowest part. Caselle's single terminal means no terminal choice, only a pickup time that fits your flight.

If the holiday continues in Turin, the city is 148 km from Courmayeur, and a hotel there can be the drop-off. Aosta, 35 km down the valley, suits a night before an early departure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How long is the transfer from Turin Airport to Courmayeur?

Courmayeur is 150 km from Turin Airport, almost all on the A5 motorway through the Aosta Valley. The drive usually takes 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes, longer in snow.

Is Geneva or Turin the better airport for Courmayeur?

Geneva is 104 km away and Turin 150 km, but from Geneva the car must use the tunnel under Mont Blanc and cross two borders, French and Swiss. From Turin the journey never leaves Italy. Book the airport your flight uses.

Are winter tyres or chains needed on the road to Courmayeur?

Yes. Between 15 October and 15 April, Anas rules require winter tyres or chains in the car on the SS26 through the valley and on the stretch from Pré-Saint-Didier to the tunnel.

Is there a train to Courmayeur?

No. The upper-valley line from Aosta to Pré-Saint-Didier has been out of service since the end of 2015, which makes Aosta, 35 km away, the closest working station. From Caselle, the transfer delivers you to the hotel door without changes.

Can you drop us at the Skyway Monte Bianco?

Yes. The Skyway leaves from Pontal d'Entrèves, 3 km from the centre of Courmayeur. Give the lower station as the destination if you are going straight up the mountain.

Is the Mont Blanc tunnel open in 2026 and 2027?

Autumn 2026 has no long closure like the previous years, though short planned closures remain possible. A stop of about 15 weeks is being prepared for September to December 2027, not yet confirmed. The Turin route does not use the tunnel.
