Getting Around Liverpool
Liverpool is a city and metropolitan borough in Merseyside, on the east bank of the River Mersey. Much of its event life is on the waterfront. ACC Liverpool brings together the M&S Bank Arena, a convention centre opened in 2008 and Exhibition Centre Liverpool, with 15,225 m² of exhibition space and a 1,350-seat auditorium.
Football shapes the north of the city. Anfield, home of Liverpool FC, holds 61,276 people and lies 3 miles from the centre, 15–20 minutes by car. Everton moved in August 2025 to Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, a new ground with 52,769 seats. On a match day the roads near both grounds fill up, so for a pick-up close to a stadium, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.
Liverpool Lime Street is the main station, with direct trains from London Euston and Manchester. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. For a day of client visits between the waterfront, the city centre and the business parks near the airport, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Liverpool
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is at Speke, 9 miles south-east of the centre and 40–55 minutes by car. All flights use one terminal, which set a record in 2025 with 5.61 million passengers, overtaking Newcastle in the UK ranking; Ryanair and easyJet both base aircraft there. For long-haul routes, Manchester Airport is 36 miles east, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, with flights from Terminals 2 and 3. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Liverpool, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: Speke is a short run on a quiet morning, while the M62 towards Manchester can be slow in the rush hours, so build that into an early long-haul flight. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Liverpool
Chester is the nearest classic day out: its Roman walls, the Rows and the racecourse are 19 miles south, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes away. Manchester is 34 miles east, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, for a meeting in the centre or an evening at one of its arenas.
Two longer trips cross into other landscapes. To the north lies the Lake District, listed by UNESCO in 2017; Windermere is 87 miles, 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes. York, known for York Minster and its city walls, is 100 miles away, 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 50 minutes. Birmingham, for the NEC or a client in the Midlands, is 100 miles south-east, 2 hours 5 minutes to 2 hours 40 minutes.
On these routes your bags stay in one car from the hotel onwards, and nobody changes trains on the way. If you come back that evening, hire the car by the hour and keep your chauffeur all day; if you stay over, book a single transfer there and a second one home.

Groups, Events & Racing in Liverpool
Aintree Racecourse, 6 miles north of the centre and 30–40 minutes by car, hosts the Grand National Festival from 8 to 10 April 2027, with the Grand National itself on Saturday 10 April. Racing parties, hospitality guests and owners travel in that week, and the waterfront campus adds conference delegations and arena crews through the year.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If guests fly in on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A party of ten heading from a city hotel to Aintree fits one vehicle: a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, from race-day outfits in suit carriers to exhibition cases.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for the Grand National days and for home games at Anfield and Bramley-Moore Dock. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
