Getting Around Hyde
Hyde is a market town in Tameside, one of the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester, on the River Tame east of the city. The M67 starts at the M60 in Denton and runs past the town towards Mottram, where the road continues into the hills; Glossop, the next town towards the moors, is 6 miles east, 20–30 minutes by car. Werneth Low Country Park, on the high ground south-east of the town, looks out over the whole of Greater Manchester.
Hyde has two stations, Hyde Central and Hyde North, both with local trains to Manchester Piccadilly. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
Whether you are going to a home or a workplace in the town, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop. A day with meetings in the city and back in Tameside fits a booking by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Hyde
Manchester Airport is 15 miles south-west of Hyde, 30–40 minutes by car. It handled 32.07 million passengers in 2025, and since Terminal 1 closed in early 2026 its flights use Terminals 2 and 3. To the west, Liverpool John Lennon Airport lies 44 miles away, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. Leeds Bradford Airport is 48 miles north-east, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes; the second phase of its terminal extension is due at the end of 2026. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Hyde, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the route to the airport follows the M60 ring road, so the hour of travel matters more than the distance. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Hyde
Manchester city centre is 8 miles west, 30–40 minutes. In the other direction, Bakewell, in the middle of the Peak District, is 30 miles south-east, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, on roads over the moors.
Leeds is 47 miles north-east, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes; York, inside its medieval walls, is 74 miles, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes. Durham, with its UNESCO-listed cathedral and castle above the River Wear, is 134 miles north-east, 2 hours 40 minutes to 3 hours 30 minutes.
To return on the same day with the same driver, choose an hourly booking; a one-way ride finishes at your destination.

Groups & Event Travel in Hyde
Co-op Live, the arena next to the Etihad Stadium, is about 7 miles from Hyde, 25–35 minutes by car. For friends heading there together for a show or a match, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, including walking gear for a day in the Peak District.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If family members travel in from abroad on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Big concert dates and the Christmas season fill the diary. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for those weeks. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
