Getting Around Glasgow
Glasgow is Scotland's largest city, built along the River Clyde. Its commercial centre is laid out on a grid around George Square and Buchanan Street, and the West End, around the University of Glasgow and Kelvingrove, lies a short drive away.
The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) stands on the north bank of the Clyde, 2 miles west of the centre and 15–20 minutes by car. Its OVO Hydro arena holds up to 14,300 people and stages more than 140 events a year, and the campus also hosts exhibitions and congresses. For a pick-up in Finnieston after a concert, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.
The city has two main stations: Glasgow Central, for trains from London Euston and the west coast, and Queen Street, for Edinburgh and the north. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. For a day with meetings in the centre and a visit to the SEC, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Glasgow
Glasgow Airport is 9 miles west of the centre, 25–35 minutes by car along the M8. Its single terminal saw 8.21 million passengers in 2025, and there is no rail link, so the road is the way in. Glasgow Prestwick Airport, a Ryanair base on the Ayrshire coast, is 33 miles south-west, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Edinburgh Airport is 40 miles east, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, and is the busiest airport in Scotland. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Glasgow, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the M8 through the city slows down when it is busy, and the run to Prestwick or Edinburgh needs more than an hour. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Glasgow
Scotland's first national park starts just north of the city. Balloch, on the southern shore of Loch Lomond, is 24 miles, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes, and the road continues into the Trossachs. Stirling, with its castle and the Wallace Monument, is 26 miles, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes.
Edinburgh is 46 miles east, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes, for a day in the capital or a meeting there. St Andrews, the Home of Golf, is 76 miles, 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes. Heading south into England, Windermere in the Lake District is 141 miles, 3 hours to 3 hours 55 minutes.
With a car, walking boots, golf clubs and suitcases travel with you, and you set off from your hotel rather than a station. Hire by the hour if you want one chauffeur for a loop round Loch Lomond and back; a single transfer to a hotel in the Lakes is one booking, and the drive back is another.

Groups & Congress Travel in Glasgow
The SEC is Scotland's largest event venue, with the OVO Hydro, the Armadillo auditorium and exhibition halls on one campus by the Clyde. In winter Celtic Connections, the folk and roots festival, fills the city's concert halls from 14 to 31 January 2027.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If delegates fly into two airports on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A touring band and its crew may need two vehicles: a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, from instruments to stand material.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for big concert weeks at the Hydro and for the festival in January. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
