Getting Around Magaluf
Magaluf is built around its beach. More than 1 km of sand faces the small island of Sa Porrassa, with a promenade running behind it, while Punta Ballena is the street of bars and clubs.
Calvià has no railway, and arrivals by sea come into Palma, where ferries from Barcelona, Valencia, Ibiza and Menorca dock on the Avinguda de Gabriel Roca. Include your ferry details and arrival time when booking so we can arrange your pickup at the port.
For an evening away from the strip, Puerto Portals, a marina with restaurants about 6 km east, and Santa Ponsa, about 8 km west, are both short drives, and Palma's old town is about 16 km away. A transfer there and another back, at the times you choose, cover dinner at the marina.
Punta Ballena lies inside one of the areas covered by the Balearic decree on tourism excesses. Until the end of 2027 it bans drinking alcohol in the street outside licensed terraces. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers to Magaluf
Palma de Mallorca Airport is about 25 km from Magaluf, a drive of 25 to 40 minutes. As it is Mallorca's main commercial airport, the choice is about the flight time, not the airport.
The road goes round Palma on the Ma-20 ring road and then west on the Ma-1 motorway to the Magaluf exit, so most of the drive is dual carriageway. Journey times vary with traffic and the time of day. During the Mallorca Live weekend in June, Calvià has run its own traffic plan around the festival site next to the resort.
Book with your flight number: your chauffeur monitors your flight and adjusts the pickup if your arrival time changes. Your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. Leaving Magaluf, allow for the drive to the airport when choosing your pickup time: 25 to 40 minutes to PMI, longer in August. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Island & Ferry Travel from Magaluf
Some Magaluf holidays end with a few nights somewhere quieter or more urban. Palma is about 16 km east, near enough for a city stay after the beach, and Valldemossa, in the Tramuntana about 32 km to the north, suits a last few days in the mountains. Port d'Andratx, about 20 km west at the end of the Ma-1, is the harbour town at the island's south-west corner. Whichever you choose, the move is booked once, cases and all, between the two hotels.
Calvià is not on Mallorca's rail network, which starts at Plaça d'Espanya in Palma, so any journey by train begins with a transfer into the city. By car, the same trip to the north of the island is one run from the hotel.
Ibiza and Menorca are a few hours away by sea, from the ferry terminals in Palma. Tell us which sailing you are taking when you book the transfer to the port.

Groups, Luggage & Summer Travel in Magaluf
Groups in Magaluf can be friends on a birthday week, a party arriving for a festival, a family across three generations. When, for example, Mallorca Live was held next to Magaluf in June 2026, Calvià expected nearly 70,000 people over its three days. What travels with them, from cases to cool boxes and buggies, matters alongside the number of people, so tell us what you are bringing and the vehicle is matched to the load. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats. If the group arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Magaluf belongs to Calvià, which has almost 61,000 tourist accommodation places in 211 establishments. Calvià's tourist season opens at Easter.
The dates to book early are June, for Mallorca Live, and July and August. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for those dates. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
