Airport Transfers from Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) to Magaluf

One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: the arrivals floor to a hotel behind Magaluf beach, the terminal to an apartment in Santa Ponsa, 8 km further west, or the resort back to PMI for a morning flight home. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. For a departure, the pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Palma Airport to your hotel in Magaluf on the day you arrive, and the resort back to PMI when the week is over. Settle the return when you book the arrival if you travel in July and August, and for mid-June, when the Mallorca Live festival takes place on a site next to the resort and cars around Calvià are booked up early. You choose both pickup times, and your confirmation shows them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at PMI, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Palma Airport to Magaluf: Route and Drive Time

Magaluf lies 25 km from PMI by road, on the far western side of the Bay of Palma. The car leaves the terminal on the Ma-19, takes the Ma-20 ring road round the city and then the Ma-1 motorway west to the Magaluf exit, so the centre of Palma is never crossed. The drive usually takes 25–40 minutes.

Nearly the whole route is dual carriageway. The time is set by the ring road at Palma's rush hours and by the season: August is the slowest month on Mallorca's roads, and around the June 2026 edition of Mallorca Live Calvià put its own traffic plan in place around the festival site.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Give the flight number when you book, and the hotel's name and street rather than just the resort: the last few hundred metres inside Magaluf are where the route differs from one hotel to the next.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Palma Airport

Whether your plane parks at module A, B, C or D, you come down to one arrivals level, Floor 0, in Palma's single terminal. For a group of friends split across two airlines, that gives one place to gather after baggage reclaim.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. If half of the group comes on a later plane, book that flight as a separate arrival, so the first party can leave for Magaluf as soon as it has its bags.

Inside the building, expect some changes of route. Palma's terminal is being remodelled through 2026 and 2027 and sections are handed over in stages, while the airport stays open and arrivals keep the same exit.

Arriving at Your Hotel in Magaluf

Magaluf is built along a beach of just over 1 km that faces the islet of Sa Porrassa, with a promenade behind the sand. Punta Ballena is its street of bars and clubs. Inside the resort the last stretch is one-way, and hotel entrances are often on a side street rather than on the main road.

Calvià plans resurfacing and drainage works on Punta Ballena and the streets next to it from November 2026, and no traffic arrangements for them have been published yet. Punta Ballena also falls inside one of the zones of the Balearic decree on tourism excesses, in force until the end of 2027.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For an apartment block, add the building's name as it appears on your accommodation voucher; for a villa in the hills behind Calvià, the property name and the road it stands on.

From Magaluf Back to Palma Airport

Leaving Magaluf, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 25–40 minutes to Palma Airport, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.

The car takes the same motorways in reverse: the Ma-1 east, the Ma-20 round Palma and the Ma-19 to the airport. Check-in and departures are on their own floor of the same terminal, and it is the same building whichever airline you fly with.

For a final stay in Palma, the car can take you from Magaluf straight to your hotel in the city: 16 km, 30–45 minutes. The airport run on the day of the flight, 8 km from Palma, is then a separate booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How far is Magaluf from Palma Airport?

25 km. From the terminal the car takes the Ma-20 ring road past Palma and the Ma-1 motorway west to the Magaluf exit, and the drive usually takes 25–40 minutes, more in August.

Where do I meet my chauffeur at Palma Airport?

Every flight at Palma arrives in the same terminal, and passengers from all four modules come out on one arrivals level, Floor 0. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet.

What happens if my flight to Palma is late?

The pickup moves with it: the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time.

Can the car drop us on Punta Ballena?

It depends on the hotel's entrance: the last stretch in Magaluf is one-way, and Calvià plans works on Punta Ballena and nearby streets from November 2026. Put the hotel's full address on the booking, and we will tell you the nearest point the car can reach.

What if our group flies in on different flights?

Each flight is booked as a separate arrival, with its own car or van sized for the people and luggage on that plane, and all the bookings can sit in one account. For a larger party, a coach can take those who land together.

How far is Magaluf from Palma?

About 16 km from the city, 30–45 minutes by car. The airport is on the other side of Palma, 25 km from Magaluf, so a stay that ends in the city is best booked as two runs: Magaluf to your Palma hotel, then the hotel to PMI.
