Getting Around Toronto

Toronto's big events are spread across the city. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Front Street West has 442,000 sq ft of exhibit space and 77 meeting rooms. The Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place, by the lake, has about 1 million sq ft of exhibit space, and the Toronto Congress Centre sits on Dixon Road, a short drive from Pearson.

A day that starts at a bank tower in the Financial District and moves on to a client in Mississauga and a venue at Exhibition Place is simpler with hourly chauffeur service: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Union Station on Front Street is Canada's busiest transit hub, with VIA Rail, GO Transit and UP Express under one roof. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. From mid-April to late October, cruise ships tie up at the Port of Toronto terminal on Unwin Avenue, which can be entered as a pickup point. For offices and hotels downtown, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Toronto

Toronto Pearson is 28 km from downtown, usually 40–55 minutes by car. It has two terminals, 1 and 3; there is no Terminal 2. Air Canada and its Star Alliance partners use Terminal 1, while WestJet, Porter, Air Transat and Flair use Terminal 3. Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur.

Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is only 4 km away, 10–15 minutes. Its terminal is on the Toronto Islands: cars stop at the mainland pavilion at the foot of Eireann Quay, and you cross by a pedestrian tunnel or the short ferry. Both Pearson and Billy Bishop are preclearance airports. With US preclearance, you clear US customs before boarding a flight to the US.

Hamilton airport is 84 km away, 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes, and Waterloo airport 104 km. The right one depends on your airline and route. For a departure from Toronto, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: allow 40–55 minutes to Pearson, and more in rush hour. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Toronto

The Niagara region is the classic day out. Niagara Falls is 130 km away, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes along the QEW, and Niagara-on-the-Lake is 128 km, with 39 wineries and the Shaw Festival theatre season from April to October. In winter, Blue Mountain is 158 km north, 2 hours 5 minutes to 2 hours 50 minutes, and Muskoka cottage country is 168 km up Highways 400 and 11, where northbound traffic is heavy on summer Friday afternoons.

Buffalo is 159 km from Toronto, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes, with the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border. The Whirlpool Rapids Bridge is for NEXUS members only, so a car with other passengers crosses at the Rainbow, Lewiston–Queenston or Peace Bridge. Visitors who need an ESTA must have it approved before they cross into the US by land, and they receive their I-94 record at the land port. Carry the travel documents your nationality and itinerary require.

Groups & Congress Travel in Toronto

Toronto's calendar has clear peaks. The Canadian International AutoShow fills the convention centre in February, Pride takes over downtown in June, and the Caribbean Carnival runs from late July into early August. The Canadian National Exhibition opens in late August and runs to Labour Day, and the Toronto International Film Festival brings premieres to King Street West in September.

When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If a delegation arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a group travelling together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, whether that is a trade-show team with sample cases or a family heading to Niagara for the day.

Plan festival weeks early: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early on those dates. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.

Limo Service in Toronto

1-12 passengers For business
Trusted by professionals at
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Toronto Pearson to a downtown hotel after landing, then back to Pearson when the conference or screenings are over. In Toronto it pays off most in September, when the film festival fills downtown hotels, and in the weeks of the big shows at the convention centre. With both directions in one booking, the return is secured from the start; you set both pickup times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service is booked by time, not by route. Name the address in Toronto where the day starts, the address where it finishes and how many hours you want, and one chauffeur and one car are reserved for you for that time. Share the plan for the day when you book, and the chauffeur will have it in advance. It suits a day of meetings or visits rather than one ride across town.
One-Way Service
One-Way Service covers one journey between two addresses: Billy Bishop to a hotel on Front Street, Union Station to the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place, downtown Toronto to a winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake. For an airport pickup, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur; for a departure, you set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the price of a chauffeur ride in Toronto set, and when do I pay?

You see the full price before you confirm, and you book and pay online. The figure does not change with traffic, the hour of the day or a late flight: there are no surge fees and no hidden surcharges. Parking passes are not included. A day booked by the hour or a group spread over several vehicles is priced the same way, with the amount shown before you confirm.

My flight into Billy Bishop is late: is the waiting time charged?

No. Complimentary waiting time is included with every airport pickup, and it is counted from the actual landing time, not from the scheduled one, because the chauffeur follows your flight. That time is there for customs, baggage claim and the walk to the meeting point, so there is no need to hurry.

Can I change or cancel a booking in Toronto?

Yes. A confirmed booking can be changed or cancelled under the Bookinglane Terms of Service; the conditions depend on the vehicle type and on how far ahead you make the change, so read them before you book. A flight delay needs no change at all, since the pickup follows the actual landing; a new flight number or a corrected address can be updated in the booking.

How do I get to Niagara Falls from Toronto?

Niagara Falls is 130 km from Toronto, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes by car along the QEW. Niagara-on-the-Lake is 128 km. If you plan to see both the falls and a winery in one outing, book hourly service: the same chauffeur and car are yours for the hours you choose.

What do you need to know about Toronto in 2026–2027?

Line 5 Eglinton opened in February 2026. The full rebuild of the Gardiner Expressway between Highway 427 and the Humber River may start in 2027. Toronto Pearson has begun a multi-year renewal of Terminals 1 and 3, built in stages while both stay open.
