Toronto Pearson International Airport to Toronto: Route and Drive Time
Pearson lies on the western edge of the city, mostly inside Mississauga, so the ride to downtown Toronto crosses a good part of the urban area. The distance is 28 km, and a car usually needs 40–55 minutes; at morning and evening rush hour the figure moves to the upper end, and sometimes beyond.
The last part of the trip depends on the address. Front Street West brings together Union Station, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and several large hotels, while the towers of the Financial District sit a few blocks north. Exhibition Place and the Enercare Centre lie further west along the lake, so a car bound for a show there does not need to enter the core at all.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. When you book, give the terminal on your ticket and the full street address, including the tower or hotel name.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Toronto Pearson International Airport
Pearson runs two passenger buildings, Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and there is no Terminal 2. Air Canada and the other Star Alliance carriers arrive at Terminal 1; WestJet, Porter, Air Transat, Flair and the SkyTeam airlines arrive at Terminal 3. Give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules.
An international arrival can take a while between the gate and the exit, because passengers clear Canadian customs and collect their bags first. With the flight number in the booking, that time is part of the plan rather than a reason to rush.

Arriving at Your Address in Toronto
Downtown addresses fall into a few clear groups. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre at 255 Front Street West has 442,000 sq ft of exhibit space and 77 meeting rooms, and Union Station across the street is the city's rail hub for VIA Rail, GO Transit and UP Express. Bank head offices and law firms fill the towers of the Financial District just to the north.
Cruise passengers between mid-April and late October head for the Port of Toronto terminal on Unwin Avenue, east of downtown; the cruise terminal can be entered as the drop-off address. TIFF Bell Lightbox, the centre of the film festival in September, stands on King Street West.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For a large building, add the entrance or the hotel name to the street address.

From Toronto Back to Toronto Pearson International Airport
On the way out, think in terms of the drive, not the hour on the clock: from downtown it is 40–55 minutes on an ordinary weekday, more in the afternoon peak or on a day of heavy snow. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
Your ticket shows the departure terminal, and that is where the chauffeur drops you. For flights to the United States, remember that both terminals have US preclearance. With US preclearance, you clear US customs before boarding a flight to the US, which takes its own time inside the terminal.
Some city weeks need a wider margin. The film festival in September, the CNE fair at Exhibition Place, which runs from late August to Labour Day, and the Caribbean Carnival around the turn of July and August all bring road closures or heavy traffic downtown.
