Calgary International handled 19,409,550 passengers in 2025. It has two terminal buildings: the Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal, opened in 2016, where both overseas flights and flights to the US board. With US preclearance, you clear US customs before boarding a flight to the US. Give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.
Downtown Calgary is 14 km south, usually 20–25 minutes. Red Deer is 144 km north, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours. To the west, the Trans-Canada Highway leads into the Rockies: Banff is 136 km from the terminal, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes.
For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur; the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. For a departure, you set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Sprinter Van Service at Calgary International Airport (YYC)
In winter, ski groups are the typical van load at YYC: four to ten people with ski bags, boot bags and suitcases, all bound for the same lodge. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 passengers with their luggage. Count the ski bags with the suitcases when you book: the vehicle is matched to the load. If the group arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own, and when you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation.
Canmore, just outside Banff National Park, is about 114 km from the airport, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. Inside the park, a Parks Canada pass is required as soon as you pull over, in the Town of Banff and at Lake Louise as well; a drive straight through on the highway is exempt.

Charter Bus Service at Calgary International Airport (YYC)
The Calgary Stampede fills the city for ten days each July; in 2027 it runs from 9 to 18 July at Stampede Park, next to the BMO Centre, which grew to just over 1 million sq ft in 2024. Convention delegations and incentive groups arrive for both. Coaches come in several sizes with up to 56 seats, and the luggage travels in the hold, so a whole delegation reaches the hotel together.
Coaches also suit the mountain routes. Lake Louise is about 190 km, 2 hours 15 minutes to 3 hours. Moraine Lake Road is closed to private cars all year and open only to Parks Canada shuttles, lodge guests and licensed commercial vehicles of at least 11 seats, so check the access rules before planning a group visit. Drumheller, in the badlands, is about 134 km north-east, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours.
For Stampede week, local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
