One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: the Domestic Terminal to a downtown tower, the International Terminal to the BMO Centre, YYC to a home in a suburb reached by Stoney Trail. For an arrival, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: from the International Terminal to a hotel on Stephen Avenue after landing, and from that hotel to the correct YYC building when the trade show closes. During Stampede week, a return that is already in place spares you a search for a car. With both directions in one booking, the return is secured from the start; you set both pickup times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at YYC, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Calgary International Airport to Calgary: Route and Drive Time

YYC lies on the north-east side of the city, and downtown is 14 km to the south, usually about 20–25 minutes in a car. The terminal has no LRT service, so the road is the direct link. Journey times vary with traffic and weather.

Where you are going shapes the last part of the trip. Downtown, the towers around Stephen Avenue, the pedestrian street, hold most offices and hotels. The BMO Centre stands at Stampede Park. For addresses in the outer districts, the car can go around the centre rather than through it on Stoney Trail, a ring road of 101 km that was completed in December 2023.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Calgary International Airport

At YYC, the terminal you use depends on where you fly from. Flights within Canada arrive at the Domestic Terminal; overseas flights and flights to and from the US use the International Terminal, opened in 2016, where the US gates are on Concourse E. Give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules.

A delegate on a connecting flight via Toronto lands at the Domestic Terminal even when the trip started in Europe, so check the building on the last leg of your ticket.

Arriving at Your Address in Calgary

The +15 ties buildings in the core together: enclosed walkways one floor above the street, roughly 16 km in length with 86 bridges, reaching about 130 buildings. For the car, what matters is the street entrance, not the walkway level.

The Calgary TELUS Convention Centre, with about 122,000 sq ft on Stephen Avenue, is linked to three hotels. Stampede Park's BMO Centre came back into use in June 2024 after an expansion that took it to just over one million sq ft, which makes it the largest convention centre in Western Canada.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For a tower with several lobbies, add the entrance.

From Calgary Back to Calgary International Airport

From downtown, the return takes 20–25 minutes on a normal day; the evening rush or a snowfall adds to it. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

The car goes to the building on your ticket. Calgary has US preclearance, carried out in the International Terminal. With US preclearance, you clear US customs before boarding a flight to the US, so add that time to your planning for a US flight.

The Green Line LRT now under construction is due in 2031 and will not serve the airport, so for the years ahead the road remains the way to the terminal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

Can I ask for a quiet ride from Calgary airport to Calgary?

A quiet ride can be selected in the booking form.

My flight into Calgary airport is late: does the pickup for Calgary still work?

Yes. The chauffeur follows your flight, so the pickup follows the actual landing. Complimentary waiting time is included with airport pickups and is counted from the actual landing, which leaves room for customs and baggage claim.

Can I request a child seat for the ride from Calgary airport to Calgary?

Child seats are requested in the booking form: choose a booster or an infant and child safety seat and the number you need. Vehicle availability varies by market.

My hotel is on the +15 — where does the car stop?

At the street entrance: the +15 walkways run one floor up, between about 130 downtown buildings, but cars use the streets below. Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up.

We are coming to the Stampede as a group — how early should we book?

As early as your dates are fixed: the 2027 Stampede runs from 9 to 18 July, and local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for that week. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats.

What do you need to know about Calgary International Airport in 2026–2027?

YYC is bringing the three security checkpoints of its Domestic Terminal together into one, after finishing a new west runway in November 2025. In the city, the Green Line LRT is due in 2031 without an airport station, and the 2027 Stampede runs from 9 to 18 July.
