Airport Transfers from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Notting Hill

Trusted by professionals at
One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Terminal 2 to a hotel near Notting Hill Gate station, Terminal 5 to a mews house behind the market, or a townhouse by Kensington Gardens to Terminal 3 for the flight home. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time; for a departure, you set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Terminal 3 to a flat off Portobello Road for Carnival weekend and out again from Terminal 3 once the weekend is over, or Terminal 5 to a garden-square house for a month's stay. Around the August bank holiday, cars in west London are taken early. With both directions in one booking, the return is secured from the start; you set both pick-up times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at LHR, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

London Heathrow Airport to Notting Hill: Route and Drive Time

Notting Hill belongs to Kensington and Chelsea, a royal borough of west London, and Heathrow lies further west. The drive is 15 miles, normally 45 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes: motorway at the start, then the busy roads of west London, then residential streets.

Where the ride ends matters here. Notting Hill Gate, with its station on the Central, Circle and District lines, is on the main road along the south of the district. Portobello Road runs north from there, with its market, and the garden squares and mews lie on both sides. A hotel by the station is a quick stop; a mews house behind the market is a slower one.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Put the landing terminal and the exact street address, with the house number, in the booking.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at London Heathrow Airport

Heathrow's four terminals are 2, 3, 4 and 5. Terminal 3 is home to Virgin Atlantic, and British Airways is at Terminal 5; give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks.

As soon as you land, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

By rail, no line from the airport reaches Notting Hill Gate without a change, and the Terminals 2 and 3 station has been closed since 25 June 2026. After a night flight with heavy cases, a car to the door saves the change.

Arriving at Your Address in Notting Hill

Notting Hill is a district of townhouses, garden squares and mews. Its famous street is Portobello Road, whose market trades in antiques from stalls along the pavement. Kensington Gardens lies just to the south. Saturday is the market's main day, when the streets around it fill with visitors.

If the address is on Portobello Road or in a narrow mews behind it, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go. The same is true of the weekend of the Notting Hill Carnival, when road closures cover much of the area.

Landing on a Saturday morning? The chauffeur can still bring you as near to the door as the streets allow, and the confirmation tells you where to expect the car.

From Notting Hill Back to London Heathrow Airport

The way back is the same 45 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes on a quiet day; the weekday rush on the routes west out of London stretches it. Plan by the length of the drive, not the clock. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Check the terminal before you book: it decides where the car goes in at Heathrow, and Terminals 4 and 5 lie well apart from the central pair.

Two dates need more time. On a Saturday the market fills the streets, and the Carnival on Sunday 29 and Monday 30 August 2027 closes large parts of the district, so a pick-up on those days has to be planned outside the closed roads.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How far is Notting Hill from Heathrow Airport?

About 15 miles by road, normally 45 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes, longer in the weekday peaks. Give your terminal and the street address in Notting Hill when you book.

Our Heathrow arrival is running hours behind schedule. Do we need to call anyone?

No. The chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time, so the car is there for the new arrival. If you change flights, update the number in your booking.

Where is the meeting point for arrivals at Heathrow?

At your landing terminal. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

Can I get to my flat in Notting Hill during the Carnival?

On Carnival Sunday and Monday, 29 and 30 August 2027, road closures cover much of Notting Hill. Send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go; landing before the weekend avoids the closures.

Ten of us are coming for the Carnival. How should we book?

Book each flight separately; when you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. A Sprinter van takes up to 12 with their bags. Book early for the bank holiday weekend.

What do you need to know about London Heathrow Airport in 2026–2027?
