Airport Transfers from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Mayfair

One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Terminal 5 to The Dorchester, Terminal 2 to an office near Berkeley Square, or a hotel on Grosvenor Square to Terminal 3 for an overnight flight. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time; for a departure, you set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Terminal 5 to a Park Lane hotel for a week of investor meetings and back to Terminal 5 when they end, or Terminal 3 to Claridge's for a Christmas shopping stay. Reserve December dates well ahead. With both directions in one booking, the return is secured from the start; you set both pick-up times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at LHR, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

London Heathrow Airport to Mayfair: Route and Drive Time

Mayfair is in the City of Westminster, in the heart of the West End, and Heathrow is to the west of it. The drive is 17 miles, normally 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes, with the last miles through central London traffic around Hyde Park.

Four big streets frame the district: Park Lane on the Hyde Park side, Oxford Street along the top, Regent Street on the eastern flank and Piccadilly at the bottom. A hotel on Park Lane is reached from the main road along the park; an office near Berkeley Square or a hotel by Grosvenor Square sits inside the grid of one-way streets, and that decides the final approach.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Give your terminal and the hotel or office name with the street when you book.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at London Heathrow Airport

Heathrow carried 84.5 million passengers in 2025 through Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. A British Airways flight uses Terminal 5, a Virgin Atlantic one Terminal 3; give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks.

When your flight is in, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

If you land at Terminal 4, its pick-up area has changed: the multi-storey car park there closed on 23 June 2026 for redevelopment.

Arriving at Your Address in Mayfair

An arrival here may end at an address with a name: a grand hotel such as Claridge's or The Dorchester, a fashion house on Bond Street, or one of the hedge funds and private equity firms based in the district. Hyde Park lies across Park Lane, and Green Park on the south side.

From 26 October 2026, a trial keeps vehicles off the Orchard Street – Great Portland Street section of Oxford Street, with a review in spring 2027. For an address close to that section, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.

If a night flight lands before your room is ready, the car can still bring you to the hotel, so you can leave the cases and have breakfast.

From Mayfair Back to London Heathrow Airport

Back to the airport is 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes when traffic is normal, and the evening peak around Hyde Park adds to it. Plan by the duration of the drive, not the time of day. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Check your ticket for the terminal: Terminals 4 and 5 each have their own approach, away from the central Terminals 2 and 3.

Winter Wonderland occupies Hyde Park, on the far side of Park Lane, from 19 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. While it is open, and in the pre-Christmas shopping weeks, choose an earlier pick-up for an evening flight.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

Heathrow to a Mayfair hotel: how many miles and how long?

Mayfair is 17 miles from the airport, normally 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes by car, and the weekday peaks add to that. The booking needs your terminal and the hotel name.

My connecting flight into Heathrow was missed and I am on a later one. What now?

Change the flight number in the booking. The chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time, so the new arrival is followed.

Is there a meeting point for chauffeur pick-ups at Heathrow?

Yes, at the terminal you land at. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

Does a drive into Mayfair enter the Congestion Charge zone?

It does. All of Mayfair lies within the zone, whose western limit here is Park Lane. The Ultra Low Emission Zone covers every London borough around the clock. The rules and current rates of each charge are published by the authority or airport that runs it.

Our delegation is staying at one Mayfair hotel. Can everyone be collected together?

When everyone shares one flight, they can: up to 12 travel in a Sprinter van with their cases, and a coach takes more. Delegates on other flights need their own transfers, and a coach stop near the hotel is confirmed once you give the address.

What do you need to know about London Heathrow Airport in 2026–2027?

The Terminals 2 and 3 station has been closed since 25 June 2026. On Mayfair's northern boundary, the central part of Oxford Street loses its traffic on 26 October 2026 under a trial that is reviewed in spring 2027.
