London Heathrow Airport to Hampton: Route and Drive Time
Heathrow is just north-west of Hampton, and from the terminals to the centre of the suburb it is 9 miles, normally 40–55 minutes. The distance is short, but the route runs on suburban roads rather than a motorway, so local traffic matters more than mileage.
Hampton lies by the river, on its northern side, in the far west of the borough of Richmond upon Thames. Bushy Park forms its eastern edge, Hampton Hill lies to the north, and the riverside villas, including David Garrick's house and his Temple to Shakespeare, line the road along the water. The water treatment works on the A308 Upper Sunbury Road take up much of the western side.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Give the terminal and the full TW12 address when you book.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at London Heathrow Airport
Heathrow's four terminals, 2 to 5, are spread across a large site, and the car is sent to the one you land at. Give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks.
From take-off onwards, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.
At Terminal 4, a separate collection zone has replaced the multi-storey car park, out of use since 23 June 2026; the confirmation reflects that.

Arriving at Your Address in Hampton
Hampton is a residential suburb: family houses, riverside homes and two large independent schools, Hampton School and Lady Eleanor Holles School. Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. At the start or end of a school term, the roads by the school gates are busy, so a house number on a side street helps.
Hampton station, on the Shepperton branch line, has trains to London Waterloo, and Hampton Court Palace is a short drive east along the edge of Bushy Park.
For a riverside house on the Thames, use the street address, not the riverside path, and mention it if the front door is not on the street itself.

From Hampton Back to London Heathrow Airport
Plan the return by how long the drive takes rather than by the clock: 40–55 minutes in normal traffic. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
The departure terminal is printed on your ticket. Terminal 5, home of British Airways, and Terminal 4 are each some way from the central pair, so the right number in the booking saves time at the end.
Kempton Park racecourse is next door in Sunbury. When a race meeting there coincides with your flight, leave earlier.
