Airport Transfers from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Battersea

1-12 passengers For business
Trusted by professionals at
One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Terminal 2 to an office tower in Nine Elms, Terminal 3 to a hotel beside Battersea Park, or a flat near Clapham Junction to Terminal 5 for an early flight. When you fly in, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time; for a departure, you set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Terminal 5 to an apartment at the Power Station on the day you land, and back to Heathrow when the business trip is over. In Flower Show week and in December, cars along the south bank are taken early. With both directions in one booking, the return is secured from the start; you set both pick-up times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at LHR, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

London Heathrow Airport to Battersea: Route and Drive Time

Battersea is a riverside district of the borough of Wandsworth, facing Chelsea across the Thames. From the Heathrow terminals to Battersea it is 17 miles, normally 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes. The car heads east towards central London and crosses the Thames before it reaches Battersea.

Battersea stretches from the river down to Clapham Junction, so the destination changes the last part of the drive. Battersea Power Station and the towers of Nine Elms, where the US Embassy stands, are at the eastern end by the river; Battersea Park sits between them and the Albert and Chelsea bridges; the Victorian terraces around Clapham Junction lie to the south.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Include your terminal and the full Battersea address, with its postcode, in the booking.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at London Heathrow Airport

Heathrow has four terminals, 2, 3, 4 and 5; the one on your ticket is where the car goes. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks.

By rail, reaching Battersea from Heathrow now takes more changes than before. The station under Terminals 2 and 3, where the Heathrow Express and the Elizabeth line used to stop, has been closed since 25 June 2026, so passengers first travel to Terminal 4 or 5 and then change again in central London for the Northern line to Battersea Power Station.

A car avoids all of that. Throughout your trip, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

Arriving at Your Address in Battersea

Battersea Power Station reopened on 14 October 2022 after its long redevelopment, with shops, restaurants and flats, and Apple has had its London headquarters in the building since 2023. Next door, Nine Elms has new office and residential towers and the US Embassy.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. If you are staying on the Power Station site or in one of the Nine Elms towers, add the building name and the entrance you use.

For a hotel near Battersea Park or a flat by Clapham Junction, the address is enough. If you land in the morning with a meeting at Nine Elms later, the car can drop the bags at your hotel first.

From Battersea Back to London Heathrow Airport

The way back to Heathrow is 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes on a normal day; the rush hours near the bridges and on the roads west make it longer. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Name the departure terminal. Terminal 4 is on the south side of Heathrow, away from the others, and since its multi-storey car park closed in June 2026 the area around it has changed.

On the opposite bank, the Royal Hospital grounds host the 2027 Chelsea Flower Show from 18 to 22 May. If you are flying out that week, leave a little extra time for the drive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How far is Battersea from Heathrow?

Battersea is 17 miles, normally 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes, from the Heathrow terminals by car. The drive stays south of the centre and is longer in the weekday rush.

Suppose my plane is diverted or reaches Heathrow hours behind schedule?

The chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time, so the car is there for your actual arrival time. If the flight is diverted to another airport, contact support with the new details.

Which part of Heathrow is the pick-up from?

The car park attached to your arrival terminal. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

Can the car take me right to Battersea Power Station?

Yes, to the address you give. Name the block you live in, or the door used for your event, when you reserve; your confirmation then states where you will be set down.

We are a launch team of eight with display boxes. Which vehicle do we need?

Book a Sprinter van: with up to 12 seats and eight people aboard, it leaves room for the boxes as well as the suitcases. List every box and case in the booking so the right vehicle is sent.

What do you need to know about Battersea in 2026–2027?

Flower Show week in Chelsea, a bridge away, falls on 18–22 May 2027. Anyone landing at Heathrow's Terminal 4 should know its multi-storey has been shut since 23 June 2026; pick-ups there moved to a separate zone.
