Airport Transfers from or to Bristol Airport (BRS)

One-Way Service
One-Way Service covers one journey between two addresses: BRS to an office at Temple Quarter in Bristol, the terminal to a hotel in Bath, a house in Clifton to the airport for a morning flight to Geneva. For an airport pick-up, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur; the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules. When you are leaving, the departure time is your call.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: from the terminal to a hotel on Bristol's Harbourside when you land, and back to BRS at the end of the trip, or from the airport to a cottage near Wells for a week in the Mendips and back again. In festival week and the school summer holidays, drivers in the area are reserved early. With both directions in one booking, the return is secured from the start; you set both pick-up times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Some arrival days do not end at one address. With hourly service from BRS you choose at booking where the day starts, where it ends and how many hours you need, and the same chauffeur and vehicle remain with you for that whole period. Send the day's programme with the booking, so the chauffeur has it before you land. It suits a day built around appointments rather than a single destination.

Chauffeur Service at Bristol Airport (BRS)

Bristol Airport handled 10.83 million passengers in 2025, according to the CAA, and it is easyJet's largest base outside London. All flights share one terminal. Cars collecting passengers use the airport's Drop Off & Pick Up car park, while minibuses and taller vehicles are sent to a separate car park of their own.

The airport sits on the A38 in North Somerset, south-west of the city. Central Bristol is 9 miles, 30–40 minutes. Bath, the Georgian spa city, is 20 miles, 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes. The Mendip Hills begin just to the south: Cheddar Gorge is about 13 miles away, 35–50 minutes, and the cathedral city of Wells about 20 miles, 40–55 minutes.

As your flight comes in, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur; the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules. For a flight out, you set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Sprinter Van Service at Bristol Airport (BRS)

In winter, ski families fill the van bookings. From mid-December 2026 Jet2 flies from Bristol to Chambéry, Geneva and Innsbruck for its ski programme, and a family of five returns with skis, boot bags and suitcases. Here a Sprinter van carries up to 12 passengers with their luggage. Enter the number of bags in the booking form; for golf bags, bikes or other bulky items, tell support so the vehicle is matched to the load. When two families come back on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.

South Wales uses BRS as well. Cardiff is about 47 miles from the terminal by road, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes. When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation, which helps a company that flies staff in for meetings on both sides of the Severn.

Coach Service at Bristol Airport (BRS)

After its fallow year in 2026, Glastonbury Festival returns to Worthy Farm in Pilton from 23 to 27 June 2027. Production crews, caterers and hospitality guests fly in for it, and the farm is about 26 miles from the airport, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Coaches come in several sizes with up to 56 seats, and the luggage travels in the hold, so a whole crew reaches the site together.

Each August hot-air balloons launch from Ashton Court during the Bristol fiesta; that estate is about 8 miles from the terminal, 25–35 minutes. School and university groups head for Bath, where the streets around the Roman Baths and the Abbey are narrow; for a hotel there, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.

Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for festival week in June and for the August holidays. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

Is there a train station at Bristol Airport?

No. The airport has no rail link; the Airport Flyer A1 bus connects it with Bristol Temple Meads and the city centre, and in 2026 the A1 switched to electric buses. If you arrive at Temple Meads and want a car from there, add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.

How do I get from Cardiff to Bristol Airport?

By road the terminal is about 47 miles from Cardiff, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes, across the Severn into England. Book the journey from your Cardiff address and choose the pick-up time with your check-in in mind. Journey times vary with traffic and weather.

Does Bristol Airport charge for drop-off?

Yes. Since 5 January 2026 the Drop Off & Pick Up car park has been charged by the length of stay, and minibuses and vehicles over 2.5 metres use their own car park with separate rates. A waiting zone further from the terminal, with a short transfer, is the alternative for drivers who collect. The rules and current rates of each charge are published by the authority or airport that runs it.

Does Bristol Airport lie within the Clean Air Zone?

It does not: it belongs to North Somerset, and Bristol's Clean Air Zone is a small Class D zone in the city centre. It runs around the clock, and vehicles that do not meet its emission standards, including private cars, are charged inside it. The rules and current rates of each charge are published by the authority or airport that runs it.

Our group arrives on different flights — can that be arranged?

Yes. A ski group returning from Geneva and Innsbruck on the same evening books one transfer per flight. Before you book a van, tell support how many cases, boxes or sports bags travel with the party, not only the number of passengers. For Glastonbury week in June 2027, book early.

What do passengers need to know about Bristol Airport (BRS) in 2026 and 2027?

A new Eastern Entrance opened at Bristol Temple Meads on 7 September 2026, and easyJet starts flights to Budapest on 17 November and to Strasbourg on 20 November 2026. Glastonbury Festival is back at Worthy Farm from 23 to 27 June 2027.
