One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: the terminal to student halls near Temple Meads, Bristol Airport to an office on the Harbourside, or a house in Clifton to the terminal in time for an early flight to the Alps. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time; for a departure, you set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: from the terminal to a hotel on the Harbourside for a conference week and back to Bristol Airport on the last morning, or to a family home in Clifton for the holidays and out again for the flight back. In the school summer break and on Balloon Fiesta weekends, cars go early. With both directions in one booking, the return is secured from the start; you set both pick-up times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at BRS, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Bristol Airport to Bristol: Route and Drive Time

Bristol Airport is not in Bristol itself but in North Somerset, on the A38 south-west of the city. From the terminal to the centre of Bristol the drive is 9 miles, normally 30–40 minutes. The A38 is the single main road between the two, so the ride follows one line in from the hills to the edge of the city.

What changes is the last part. Temple Meads, the main station, is on the eastern side of the centre, with its new Eastern Entrance facing the University of Bristol's Temple Quarter campus. The Harbourside lies in the middle of the city, and Clifton, the district around Brunel's famous suspension bridge, is on the western side.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. When you book, give the full street address, and for Clifton the name of the hotel or house as well.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Bristol Airport

A single terminal handles every flight at Bristol Airport, easyJet's largest base outside London. In 2025 it handled 10.83 million passengers. Cars that collect passengers use the Drop Off & Pick Up car park; minibuses and taller vehicles are directed to a car park of their own.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

There is no railway at the airport. The Airport Flyer A1 bus, electric since 2026, runs to Temple Meads and the city centre; with heavy bags or children, a car avoids the second leg from the bus stop to your address.

Arriving at Your Address in Bristol

Bristol is both a city and a county, on the Avon not far from the Severn Estuary. A business trip may end at Temple Quarter or an office near Temple Meads; a weekend stay is more likely to be on the Harbourside or in Clifton.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up.

If you are coming for a match, Ashton Gate stadium, home of Bristol City and Bristol Bears, is on the south-western side of the city. On a match day, name the hotel rather than the stadium as your destination, and book the ride to the ground separately.

From Bristol Back to Bristol Airport

On the way back, allow 30–40 minutes in normal traffic. The A38 is the only main road out to the terminal, and early holiday departures fill it quickly. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

The car pulls in at the same terminal building whichever airline you use.

Each August the city's International Balloon Fiesta brings crowds to the Ashton Court estate, which lies about 8 miles from the terminal, 25–35 minutes. If your flight leaves on a fiesta weekend or after a big match at Ashton Gate, set the pick-up earlier than usual.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How far is Bristol Airport from the city centre?

The drive to the centre of Bristol is 9 miles, usually 30–40 minutes on the A38. Enter the flight number and the address of your stay when booking.

What if my flight lands at Bristol after midnight?

The time of the landing is what counts. The chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time, so a delayed arrival simply shifts the pick-up. The flight number you give at booking does the rest.

Where at Bristol Airport does the chauffeur wait for me?

At the airport's one terminal; cars collecting passengers use the Drop Off & Pick Up car park. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

Does the Bristol Clean Air Zone affect a ride from the airport?

Only if your address is inside it. The zone is small, in the city centre, runs around the clock and is Class D, so a non-compliant private car is charged inside it, just like a non-compliant van or bus; the airport in North Somerset is outside it. The rules and current rates of each charge are published by the authority or airport that runs it.

Our family is moving a student into halls. Is there room for all the boxes?

Tell us the load and the vehicle is chosen to match it. Enter the number of bags in the booking form; for golf bags, bikes or other bulky items, tell support so the vehicle is matched to the load.

What do you need to know about Bristol Airport in 2026–2027?

Bristol Temple Meads opened its Eastern Entrance on 7 September 2026, next to the Temple Quarter campus, and the A1 Airport Flyer moved to electric buses during 2026. In June 2027 Glastonbury Festival, about 26 miles from the airport, returns to Worthy Farm from 23 to 27 June.
