Aberdeen International Airport to Aberdeen: Route and Drive Time
Aberdeen International Airport stands at Dyce, on the north-western side of the city, and the drive from the terminal into the centre of Aberdeen is 6 miles, normally 25–35 minutes. With the airport this close, the hour of your landing matters more than the distance.
Where the ride ends depends on why you came. Union Street is the main line of the granite centre, the harbour opens just south of it, and the railway station sits next to the Union Square shopping centre. Travellers with a ferry booked to Orkney or Shetland go on to the NorthLink terminal at the harbour, about 7 miles from the airport, 30–40 minutes.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. In the booking, give your flight number and the exact street address, or the name of the ferry terminal if you are sailing on the same day.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Aberdeen International Airport
Scheduled flights at Aberdeen use one passenger terminal, served by Loganair, British Airways and KLM among others; helicopter flights for the offshore industry run from a separate heliport area. In 2025 the airport handled about 2.30 million passengers.
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.
Overseas visitors can reach Dyce through Amsterdam on KLM. If the first leg runs late, your landing in Aberdeen moves, and the pick-up moves with it. The Jet 727 bus also links the terminal with Union Square in about 30–35 minutes, while a car is matched to the people and bags you list in the booking.

Arriving at Your Address in Aberdeen
Aberdeen lies where the Dee and the Don meet the North Sea, and much of the centre is built of grey granite. Energy-company offices, hotels and restaurants gather along and around Union Street, and the West End has hotels and guest houses of its own.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. That matters most when your destination is an office in a business park or a berth at the harbour rather than a hotel.
Not every arrival heads into town. The Stoneywood arena and exhibition hall P&J Live is a few minutes from the terminal, with two hotels on site, so a delegate landing early can check in and walk to the halls before the first session.

From Aberdeen Back to Aberdeen International Airport
Going back, think in drive time, not clock time: 25–35 minutes from the centre on an ordinary day, longer when commuters are heading out to the offices near Dyce. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
All scheduled flights leave from the same building, so the car pulls in at one terminal whichever airline you fly.
Two dates in 2027 call for extra margin. In spring, whisky visitors arrive for the Spirit of Speyside festival, 28 April to 3 May. SPE Offshore Europe then fills P&J Live, next to the airport, from 7 to 9 September 2027; if your flight home leaves during the exhibition, allow more time, as the venue and the terminal are neighbours.
