Getting Around Toledo
Toledo is the capital of Castilla-La Mancha, and its historic city, on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1986, stands on a granite rock with the Tagus curving around it. The highest point is the Alcázar, at 548 m. The cathedral, the Alcázar and the old streets are up on that rock. The station and the newer districts lie below it, beside the river or across it.
Avant high-speed trains from Madrid Puerta de Atocha reach Toledo in almost 30 minutes. They arrive at the neo-Mudéjar station on the Paseo de la Rosa, on the far side of the Tagus from the old town. Include your train details and arrival time when booking so we can arrange your pickup at the station.
For a day of meetings with the regional administration or of visits in the old city, hourly service reserves one chauffeur and one vehicle for the hours you book. Send the plan for the day with the booking.
For those on foot, the escalators at La Granja link the lower town with the old city. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Toledo
Toledo has no airport of its own. Madrid-Barajas (MAD), about 85 km to the north-east, is its main airport connection, and the drive lasts between 1 hour 10 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes.
The route follows the A-42 motorway north towards Madrid, then the M-40, the ring road around the capital, to Barajas. Journey times vary with traffic and weather.
Book with your flight number. For airport pickups, your chauffeur monitors your flight and adjusts the pickup if your arrival time changes. Your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. Leaving Toledo, allow for the drive to the airport when choosing your pickup time: 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes to Barajas, longer in heavy Madrid traffic. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Toledo
Madrid is about 74 km away, so a stay in Toledo can include a day in the capital. Further afield, Segovia is about 160 km to the north, beyond Madrid, and Cuenca about 185 km to the east. Mérida, about 310 km to the west, is the farthest. Every one of them is a single booking from your Toledo hotel to the destination address, at the pickup time you set.
The same applies at the end of a stay. A move from a hotel in Toledo to one in Madrid, with the luggage, is a single transfer from one reception desk to the next.

Groups & Congress Travel in Toledo
The Avant from Madrid takes almost 30 minutes, so a programme in the capital can include a day in Toledo: for a school trip, an incentive group, or a delegation with a day off after a congress in Madrid.
For the organiser, a whole programme can be run from one account; each leg of it is reserved and confirmed individually: a coach from a Madrid hotel, a speaker met off the Avant, guests returning to Barajas. Where a group moves together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats.
The week to book early is Corpus Christi, a festival of international tourist interest, in late May or June. For about a month beforehand the old town is hung with awnings, and on the Thursday the procession leaves the cathedral in the morning. Local vehicles and drivers are committed well ahead of it. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
