Getting Around Waterloo
Two universities shape the map of Waterloo. The University of Waterloo has its own ION light rail station on Ring Road, opposite the Davis Centre, and Wilfrid Laurier University's main campus lies about 500 m from the Laurier–Waterloo Park station on Seagram Drive. Uptown Waterloo, along King Street, is served by the Waterloo Public Square and Willis Way stations, and the Communitech Data Hub is at 14 Erb Street West.
Visiting a research lab on one campus, a faculty office on the other and a company in Uptown in a single day? Hourly chauffeur service fits that plan: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve. Kitchener is 4 km away, 10–15 minutes, if the day also includes the Innovation District.
On a university campus, the building matters as much as the street. For a lab or a residence, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Waterloo
YKF, the Region of Waterloo International Airport, lies 16 km from Waterloo. Its non-stop flights are run by Flair, Sunwing and WestJet, and the airport says it can now handle up to one million passengers a year. Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur.
Toronto Pearson, 90 km away, takes 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes, and you can pre-clear there for the US. With US preclearance, you clear US customs before boarding a flight to the US. Between YKF and Pearson, Air Canada connects by Landline motorcoach rather than by air. Hamilton airport is 73 km from Waterloo, London 110 km. The right one depends on your airline and route.
For a departure from Waterloo, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: plan 20–25 minutes for YKF and 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes for Pearson, with extra time in winter storms. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Waterloo
Blue Mountain, near Collingwood, is 146 km north on regional roads, 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes. Enter the number of bags in the booking form; for skis, golf bags or other bulky items, tell support so the vehicle is matched to the load.
Muskoka (Gravenhurst) is 244 km, 2 hours 35 minutes to 3 hours 30 minutes, for a summer cottage weekend. Toronto is 113 km, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, and Niagara-on-the-Lake 143 km, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes, where the Shaw Festival plays from April to October and again in November and December.

Groups & Event Travel in Waterloo
June is graduation month. The University of Waterloo held 14 convocation ceremonies from 16 to 20 June 2026, awarding about 7,349 degrees, and Laurier held its Waterloo ceremonies at Lazaridis Hall in the same week. Laurier also has a fall convocation in October. If your family is flying in for a ceremony, the hotel, the campus and the airport each need a transfer on a fixed day.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If relatives come in on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a family or a visiting research team that wants to travel together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats.
In convocation week, book as soon as the ceremony date is known: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early around such dates. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
