Getting Around Red Deer
Red Deer sits on Highway 2 between Alberta's two largest cities: Calgary is 147 km south and Edmonton 154 km north, so a meeting in either one fits into a day with a car. Westerner Park is the city's event ground. Westerner Days takes it over in mid-July with a parade downtown, chuckwagon racing and a midway, and the Red Deer Pro Rodeo fills the Marchant Crane Centrium there in May.
For a working day split between clients in Red Deer and a site visit in a nearby town, reserve hourly chauffeur service: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve. It also covers a return day trip to a meeting in Calgary or Edmonton.
Westerner Park, hotels on the edge of town and offices downtown each have their own entrances and parking lots. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers to Red Deer
Red Deer Regional Airport, 14 km from the city, has no scheduled airline flights at present: it handles charters and is working to bring scheduled service back. Travellers therefore fly into Edmonton or Calgary. Edmonton International Airport is 128 km north, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, and Calgary International Airport 144 km south, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours. The right one depends on your airline and route. Both are preclearance airports. With US preclearance, you clear US customs before boarding a flight to the US.
Book with your flight number. When the plane is on its way, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. From either terminal, the car drives you straight to your address in Red Deer.
For a departure from Red Deer, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: count at least 1 hour 20 minutes to Edmonton airport or 1 hour 30 minutes to Calgary's, and add margin when snow is forecast on Highway 2. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Red Deer
Drumheller is 170 km southeast, 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 35 minutes. The Rockies are within a day's drive: Canmore is 240 km, Banff 263 km, 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours 45 minutes, by Highway 2, Calgary's Stoney Trail and the Trans-Canada Highway, and Lake Louise 317 km, 3 hours 20 minutes to 4 hours 30 minutes. As soon as the car parks in Banff National Park, including in the town of Banff, it needs a Parks Canada pass. Moraine Lake cannot be reached by private car or limousine; the car can take you as far as the Lake Louise Park and Ride, and Parks Canada shuttles run from there in season.
Jasper is 413 km, 4 hours 55 minutes to 6 hours 40 minutes, by Highway 11 and the Icefields Parkway. On that parkway a park pass is required even if you do not stop.

Groups & Event Travel in Red Deer
Red Deer's busiest weeks are at Westerner Park: the Pro Rodeo in May and Westerner Days in July.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If guests for a family event come through both Calgary and Edmonton airports on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a group travelling together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, whether that is a rodeo team with saddles and gear or a company group with luggage for a retreat in the mountains.
For Westerner Days, plan the transfers early: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early around that week. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
