Getting Around Barrie
Barrie sits on Kempenfelt Bay, and Highway 400 links it with Vaughan, 71 km south (45 minutes to 1 hour), and with Toronto, 95 km. The same highway leads north to Muskoka, so a trip from Barrie can run toward the city or toward the lakes.
For a day of site visits or meetings across Barrie and Simcoe County, hourly chauffeur service is the practical choice: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.
The Barrie GO line runs about 101 km from Allandale Waterfront GO to Union Station in Toronto. Metrolinx plans to make it a two-way, all-day line with trains every 30 minutes, but gives no date, and weekend trains are often replaced by buses during construction. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. For a lakeside house or a business park on the edge of town, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers to Barrie
The two Toronto airports are almost equally far. Toronto Pearson is 88 km away, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes by Highways 400 and 401, and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport 95 km, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes. Both offer US preclearance. With US preclearance, you clear US customs before boarding a flight to the US. At Billy Bishop the car drops you on the mainland side, at Eireann Quay, and a tunnel or a short ferry crossing takes you to the island terminal.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. Hamilton airport is 160 km away and Waterloo airport 163 km. The right one depends on your airline and route.
For a departure from Barrie, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: plan 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes to Pearson, and more when Highway 400 is busy. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Barrie
Blue Mountain, near Collingwood, is 65 km west, 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes. Enter the number of bags in the booking form; for skis, golf bags or other bulky items, tell support so the vehicle is matched to the load.
Muskoka starts at Gravenhurst, 74 km north by Highways 400 and 11, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. On summer Friday afternoons, roughly 3 to 8 p.m., and on long weekends, the northbound lanes are slow. Toronto is 95 km south, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, and Niagara Falls 207 km, 2 hours 5 minutes to 2 hours 50 minutes.

Groups & Event Travel in Barrie
Barrie's biggest summer event is Kempenfest, four days on the waterfront of Kempenfelt Bay over the long weekend at the start of August; in 2026 it ran from 31 July to 3 August, its 54th edition, with ticketed evening concerts on the main stage.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If a group of friends lands at Pearson and Billy Bishop on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a cottage party or a ski team with gear, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Long weekends in summer are the dates to plan first: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early around them. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
