Airport Transfers from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Slough

Trusted by professionals at
One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Terminal 5 to an office on the Trading Estate, Terminal 3 to a hotel near Slough station, or a family home in Slough to Terminal 4 before a morning departure. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time; for a departure, you set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: from Terminal 2 to a Slough hotel near the Trading Estate when your visit starts, and from that hotel to Terminal 2 once the site visits are over. In May and June, with the Horse Show and Royal Ascot close by, cars are taken early. With both directions in one booking, the return is secured from the start; you set both pick-up times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at LHR, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

London Heathrow Airport to Slough: Route and Drive Time

Slough is a Berkshire town with its own unitary council, west of the airport on the M4 between Junctions 5 and 7. Measured from the terminals, the centre of Slough is 9 miles away, normally 30–40 minutes, and almost all of the drive is motorway.

Where you are going decides which junction the car leaves by. Langley, on the eastern side of the borough, is closest to the airport; the town centre and the station lie in the middle; and the Trading Estate has approach roads of its own. Windsor is just south of the motorway, so a hotel there is a different turn again.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Your booking needs the terminal plus the full address; on the Trading Estate, add the unit number too.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at London Heathrow Airport

Four Heathrow terminals are in use, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Your airline decides the terminal. British Airways is based at Terminal 5 and Virgin Atlantic at Terminal 3; Terminal 2 hosts a large share of Star Alliance flights, and Terminal 4 the SkyTeam group. These allocations are being reviewed, so look at your ticket before you fly. Give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.

Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. Once you are airborne, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

Slough station has fast trains to Paddington, but none of them runs to Heathrow; since 25 June 2026 the Terminals 2 and 3 station has been closed as well.

Arriving at Your Address in Slough

Visitors on business come here for the Trading Estate, among the biggest single-owner business parks in Europe, which lies about 2 miles from the town centre, 10–15 minutes by car.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. On the Trading Estate, the building name or unit number matters as much as the street; for a hotel in the centre, the hotel name is enough.

If your meetings start the morning after you land, a hotel near the station puts you between the Trading Estate and the motorway, ready for the next day.

From Slough Back to London Heathrow Airport

Count the drive at 30–40 minutes, and more when commuter traffic fills the M4 towards London on a weekday morning. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Each terminal has its own approach, so name yours in the booking; a car bound for Terminal 4 takes the southern side of the airport, while Terminal 5 is reached from the west.

May and June are busy next door in Windsor and at Ascot: the Royal Windsor Horse Show runs 13–16 May 2027 and Royal Ascot 15–19 June 2027. On those dates, set an earlier pick-up for your flight.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How far is Slough from Heathrow?

The town centre is 9 miles from the terminals, normally 30–40 minutes by car along the M4. Commuter peaks can add time.

My connecting flight is delayed and I will land at Heathrow hours later. Is that a problem?

No. The chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time. Put the flight that brings you into Heathrow in the booking, not the first leg of the journey.

Which terminal will my driver go to?

The one in your booking. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

Is Slough in Berkshire or Buckinghamshire?

Berkshire. The town is run by its own unitary council, and Langley, on the eastern side, belongs to the same borough. Buckinghamshire begins just to the north, at places such as Iver Heath, home of Pinewood Studios.

A team of twenty is visiting the Trading Estate. What vehicles do we need?

A coach with up to 56 seats keeps everyone together, or split the group between two Sprinter vans, each seating 12. Give the unit number on the Trading Estate and list equipment cases as well as suitcases.

What do you need to know about London Heathrow Airport in 2026–2027?

The airport is consulting airlines on a terminal reshuffle, so confirm your terminal before travel. Trains stopped serving the Terminals 2 and 3 station on 25 June 2026, and the airport's expansion consultation is planned for 27 October to 22 December 2026.
