Airport Transfers from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Leatherhead

Trusted by professionals at
One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Terminal 5 to an office near Junction 9, Terminal 3 to a house in Fetcham, or a home in Ashtead to Terminal 2 for a morning flight. When you arrive by air, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time; for a departure, you set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Terminal 5 to your home in Leatherhead after a business trip, and out to the same BA terminal when you travel again. Before Derby weekend and the summer holidays, cars in Mole Valley are reserved early. With both directions in one booking, the return is secured from the start; you set both pick-up times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at LHR, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

London Heathrow Airport to Leatherhead: Route and Drive Time

Heathrow and Leatherhead are both close to the M25, which makes this one of the more direct routes from the airport into Surrey. The drive from the terminals to Leatherhead is 25 miles, normally 45 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes, with most of it on the motorway as far as Junction 9, where the town begins.

From the junction, the A24 runs through Leatherhead and on towards Dorking, and the River Mole flows along the town's western side. Business parks sit near the motorway; Fetcham lies across the river to the west, Ashtead to the north-east, and the lanes towards Great Bookham lead up to Polesden Lacey.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. When you book, give the terminal and the full address, including the business park or the village name.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at London Heathrow Airport

Heathrow's passenger terminals are 2, 3, 4 and 5. British Airways flies almost all its routes from Terminal 5, together with Iberia, so a business traveller coming back to Leatherhead on BA will usually land there. Give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.

Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. From the moment you board, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

There is no direct train between Heathrow and Leatherhead. Leatherhead's trains run to Waterloo and Victoria, so a rail journey means going into London and out again, while the car stays on the M25.

Arriving at Your Address in Leatherhead

Leatherhead is the main town of Mole Valley. Around its centre you find the station, offices close to Junction 9 and the residential roads that run out towards Fetcham and Ashtead.

Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop. For an office campus, add the building and the reception you are visiting; for a house in the lanes south of the town, add any farm or house name.

If your flight lands in the morning and you have a meeting near Junction 9 that afternoon, your chauffeur can drive you to your hotel to check in and drop the cases before then.

From Leatherhead Back to London Heathrow Airport

Work out the start time from the length of the trip: 45 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes on a normal day. With the M25 carrying you most of the way, motorway peaks early in the day and late in the afternoon stretch that figure. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

At the airport, Terminal 5 is reached from the western side, while Terminals 2 and 3 are in the centre and Terminal 4 to the south. Put the departure terminal in the booking.

Derby weekend at Epsom, 4–5 June 2027, brings extra traffic to the roads around Leatherhead. A flight on the Friday or Saturday of that weekend calls for an earlier car.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

What is the journey time between Heathrow and Leatherhead?

Leatherhead is 25 miles, normally 45 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes, from the Heathrow terminals, mostly on the M25 to Junction 9. The motorway is slower at rush hour.

My flight into Heathrow arrives after midnight. Is that a problem?

No. The chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time, whatever the hour. Book with the flight number, and a late or delayed arrival moves the pick-up to match.

Where at Heathrow do I meet the chauffeur?

At your arrival terminal. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

Which county is Leatherhead in?

Surrey. The town belongs to Mole Valley district, lies beyond the Greater London boundary and sits on the River Mole, next to Junction 9 of the M25.

Our team of nine has laptops and two suitcases each. Which vehicle?

Nine passengers with that much luggage fit in a Sprinter van, which has up to 12 seats. Enter all bags in the booking. If part of the team lands on a different flight, that arrival gets its own transfer.

What do you need to know about Leatherhead in 2026–2027?

Local government changes on 1 April 2027, when the new East Surrey authority replaces both the Mole Valley district and the county council for the town. Derby weekend at nearby Epsom Downs is 4–5 June 2027.
