Airport Transfers from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Hounslow

Trusted by professionals at
One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Terminal 2 to a terraced house near the Treaty Centre, Terminal 4 to a hotel on Bath Road, or an office block on the Great West Road to Terminal 5 after work. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time; for a departure, you set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Terminal 3 to a family home near Hounslow Heath when relatives arrive and the same terminal for their departure, or Terminal 5 to a company headquarters by the Gillette building and back after the meetings. School-holiday weeks see local cars reserved well ahead. With both directions in one booking, the return is secured from the start; you set both pick-up times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at LHR, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

London Heathrow Airport to Hounslow: Route and Drive Time

Hounslow is the town immediately east of the airport, and the ride from the terminals is 6 miles, normally 25–35 minutes. On such a short transfer the terminal you start from and the time of day matter almost as much as the distance.

Three main roads tie the town to the airport: the A3006 Bath Road, the A30 Great South West Road and, further out, the A4 Great West Road with its office buildings. They meet at Henlys Roundabout, and which one the car takes depends on the side of town you are heading for: the High Street and the Treaty Centre, the streets near Hounslow Heath, or the offices towards Brentford.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Put the postcode and the terminal in the booking.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at London Heathrow Airport

Heathrow has four passenger terminals, numbered 2 to 5, and they are spread over a large site. Give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks.

Once you are on board, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

The Piccadilly line runs from the airport through Hounslow West, Hounslow Central and Hounslow East. Since 25 June 2026, though, the station for Terminals 2 and 3 has been closed, and rail passengers from those terminals have to start from Terminal 4 or 5, which is awkward with a trolley of cases.

Arriving at Your Address in Hounslow

Hounslow is the administrative centre of its London borough: Hounslow House, the council's base, stands on Bath Road, and the Treaty Centre anchors the High Street. Beyond the centre the town is mainly residential streets, with Hounslow Heath beyond the houses.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. On the Great West Road, where the listed Gillette building with its clock tower stands among newer offices, give the company name and the building as well as the street number.

After a morning landing with a same-day meeting, the car can head for the office first; the hotel run is booked separately.

From Hounslow Back to London Heathrow Airport

The return is short, 25–35 minutes on a normal day, but the A4 and the A30 carry heavy local traffic in the weekday peaks. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Say which terminal you fly from. Terminal 5 sits on the western side of the airport, the side furthest from Hounslow, while Terminals 2 and 3 are in the middle.

Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, is a short drive south of the town. England's 2027 Six Nations home games there are on 14 February, 20 February and 13 March; a flight on a match day calls for an earlier start, as traffic builds around the ground before and after the game.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

Heathrow to Hounslow: what is the drive time?

By car the town is 6 miles from the terminals, normally 25–35 minutes. The time depends on your terminal and on the A4 and A30 traffic; give the terminal and your postcode when you book.

My relatives' flight into Heathrow is running two hours behind. Must I change the booking?

No. The chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time, and the new time becomes the collection time. Check that the flight number you entered matches their ticket.

Can the car collect us outside the terminal doors at Heathrow?

Not there. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

Is Hounslow part of London?

It is. The town sits inside Greater London and gives its name to the borough it heads; before 1965 it belonged to the county of Middlesex. Part of Heathrow itself lies within the Hounslow post town.

Nine of us are flying in for a family occasion in Hounslow. What should we book?

Nine people fit in one Sprinter van, but list every case, pushchair and child seat in the booking, as the vehicle is matched to the load. A relative on a different flight is collected by a car of their own.

What do you need to know about London Heathrow Airport in 2026–2027?

Trains stopped serving Terminals 2 and 3 on 25 June 2026, two days after Terminal 4's car park building closed and its collections were moved. Near Hounslow, Twickenham hosts England's Six Nations home games on 14 and 20 February and 13 March 2027.
