Airport Transfers from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Bexleyheath

Trusted by professionals at
One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Terminal 2 to Red House for a booked tour, Terminal 5 to the Civic Offices on the Broadway, or a house near Danson Park to Terminal 3 for a long-haul departure. If you are landing, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time; for the trip back, you set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Terminal 5 to a hotel near the Broadway for a meeting at the Civic Offices, and back to Terminal 5 the next day, or Terminal 3 to relatives by Danson Park and, a fortnight later, back to the same terminal. If your Red House tour date is settled, the whole trip can be planned around it. With both directions in one booking, the return is secured from the start; you set both pick-up times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at LHR, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

London Heathrow Airport to Bexleyheath: Route and Drive Time

Bexleyheath is the main town centre of the borough of Bexley, in the far south-east of London, and Heathrow sits beyond the opposite edge of the city. Bexleyheath is 31 miles by road, normally 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. The A2 runs along the southern side of Bexleyheath, so the final miles can leave it there, whether the car has crossed London or come round on the M25.

The Broadway is the heart of the town, with the council's Civic Offices and the Broadway Shopping Centre. Danson Park, with the Georgian Danson House, spreads across the western side, and Red House, the home Philip Webb built for William Morris in 1859–60, is also in the town.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Put the terminal and the exact address in your booking.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at London Heathrow Airport

Heathrow operates four terminals, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Terminal 5 handles almost all British Airways flights and Iberia; it is a separate building, well away from Terminals 2 and 3, so give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.

Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. From the moment you board, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

There is no direct rail link from Heathrow to Bexleyheath. Its station, north of the Broadway, has Southeastern trains via Eltham and Lewisham, so a rail trip means crossing central London first, and the station under Terminals 2 and 3 has been closed since 25 June 2026.

Arriving at Your Address in Bexleyheath

Should your address be in a pedestrianised part of the Broadway, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go. Away from the centre, Bexleyheath is a town of residential roads.

If you are visiting the Civic Offices for a meeting, add the building name, since a public building may have a separate visitors' entrance.

Visits to Red House are by National Trust tour only, booked ahead. If your tour is on the day you land, give the house itself as the destination, and the car takes you there straight from the terminal.

From Bexleyheath Back to London Heathrow Airport

Plan by the duration of the trip: 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes in normal traffic, more when the A2 and the roads into London are busy in the morning. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

If you fly British Airways from Terminal 5, give that terminal in the booking; it lies apart from Terminals 2 and 3, and the car goes directly to the right one.

For a flight in the weeks before Christmas, choose an earlier pick-up, as the shopping streets around the Broadway may be busier then.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

Landing at Heathrow, when could I reach the Bexleyheath Broadway?

Bexleyheath is 31 miles away, normally 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes by car, crossing London or circling it on the M25. Your terminal and street name complete the booking.

I land at Heathrow late in the evening and my flight might be delayed. What then?

The car follows the flight, not the timetable: the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pick-up around the real landing time. Keep the correct flight number in the booking.

Where does the chauffeur pick us up at Terminal 5?

Not at the kerb. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pick-up rules.

Do I need to book a visit to Red House in advance?

Yes. Entry is by guided tour, reserved through the National Trust; the 2026 season ran May–October, with tours every hour between 11:00 and 15:00 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Book the tour first, then a pick-up time that gets you there before it starts.

Our society of 16 is visiting Red House from abroad. How do we travel from Heathrow?

Sixteen people are too many for one Sprinter van, which seats 12, so book a coach or two vans. If members arrive on different flights, each flight needs a transfer of its own; list the luggage for every booking.

What do you need to know about London Heathrow Airport in 2026–2027?

Heathrow reported a record 84.5 million passengers for 2025, and its consultation on expansion plans runs from 27 October to 22 December 2026. In Bexleyheath, Red House opened from May to October in 2026 and Danson House from April to August, so check the 2027 programmes before you plan a visit.
