Airport Transfers from Hannover Airport (HAJ) to Salzgitter

One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Terminal C to a works gate at Watenstedt, Terminal A to a hotel in Salzgitter-Bad, or the steelworks visitor entrance back to HAJ for an evening flight. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time; for a departure, you set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: from HAJ to your hotel in Lebenstedt or Salzgitter-Bad, and from the plant back to the terminal once the audit or the acceptance test is signed off. When the closing meeting may run long, the return is already arranged and only its time needs adjusting. With both directions in one booking, the return is secured from the start; you set both pickup times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at HAJ, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Hannover Airport to Salzgitter: Route and Drive Time

From the terminals to Salzgitter it is 82 km, normally 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes by car. The route uses three motorways: the A2 eastwards, a short run south on the A7 and then the A39, which reaches the city from the north-west.

The A39 exit is not the end of the trip, because Salzgitter is spread out. Lebenstedt, with the town hall, lies in the north; Salzgitter-Bad, the old spa town, is in the south; and the large works sites sit between and beside them. A hotel in one district and a plant gate in another can be a good distance apart, so the exact address sets the last stretch.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. In the booking, give the terminal, the street and, for a plant, the gate number.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Hannover Airport

Four terminal buildings, A to D, make up the passenger side of HAJ, all in a single row. The car goes to the building you land at, so give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules.

There is a practical reason to drive. Salzgitter has no ICE stop, and the nearest long-distance stations are in neighbouring cities, so the rail route from the airport means at least one change and a last ride to the plant. A car takes an auditor with laptop and safety boots from the terminal to the works gate in one go.

Arriving at Your Address in Salzgitter

The town was created in 1942 by merging villages around a new ironworks. Today its area is about 224 km², divided into 7 local districts and 31 quarters. That is why a street name alone can mislead.

The addresses visitors need are often industrial. Steel comes from Salzgitter AG and engines from a Volkswagen plant opened in 1969; MAN works at Watenstedt, on the old Büssing site, Bosch runs a factory dating from 1985, and Alstom turns out rail vehicles. Each site has its own gates and visitor entrances, and a delivery gate is not the same as the reception for guests.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For a plant, add the gate or building name from your invitation.

From Salzgitter Back to Hannover Airport

For the flight out, work back from the length of the drive: 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes from Lebenstedt to the terminals in normal traffic, a little more from Salzgitter-Bad in the south. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

The car takes you to your departure terminal, A, B, C or D, as shown on your ticket, so name it for the return trip too.

On the city side, the timing of the plant matters. If a visit ends with a closing meeting that runs over, the time saved by being collected at the works gate rather than the hotel can count. Give the gate as the pickup address and keep the luggage in the car during the day. A visitor who goes on from the plant to the fair grounds needs 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes for the 55 km.

Can a team go on from Salzgitter to Berlin after an inspection?

Berlin is 247 km from Salzgitter, 2 hours 40 minutes to 3 hours 35 minutes, via the A39, A2 and A10. Book that drive as its own transfer. The Internationale Grüne Woche runs there from 15 to 24 January 2027.
