Frankfurt Airport to Obertshausen: Route and Drive Time
Obertshausen is east of the airport, beyond Offenbach, and almost the whole route is one motorway. The A3 heads east from the airport interchange with the town just off it; the 28 km take 35–45 minutes by car. The Offenbacher Kreuz is the stretch that slows down most at rush hour and decides where in that range you land.
At the Obertshausen end, the B448 splits the town into two districts: Obertshausen proper and Hausen. Which side your address is on affects the last turn off the main road, and the new business park sits right beside the motorway, so a visit there means hardly any town driving at all.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. For a manufacturer, write the company name and the goods entrance or showroom you were invited to.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Frankfurt Airport
Terminal 2 at Frankfurt closed on 9 June 2026 for a refurbishment due to last until the mid-2030s, and its airlines moved to Terminal 3, which opened in April 2026. Tickets bought before the summer may still show the old terminal, so check the current one with your airline. Give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.
Before you land, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules.
Terminal 1 has the long-distance railway station alongside it. A buyer coming on by train from another German city can be collected there instead; add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.

Arriving at Your Address in Obertshausen
Leather goods have shaped Obertshausen for generations, and several manufacturers still produce bags and small leather goods here for export; the Picard brand is based in the town. Hausen, the second district, even carries a handbag on its coat of arms. A trade visitor's address is therefore often a factory, a showroom or a warehouse rather than an office tower.
Along the A3, a former Bundeswehr depot of about 22 hectares has become a new commercial and industrial park that almost doubles the town's business land. Firms there reach the motorway directly.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. On a factory site, add the gate or the building, since visitors and deliveries are often received in different places.

From Obertshausen Back to Frankfurt Airport
For the departure, plan on the drive rather than a time of day: 35–45 minutes from Obertshausen to the terminal along the A3, with more allowance in the morning and evening rush, when traffic backs up around the Offenbacher Kreuz. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
Departures use Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, and the car goes to the one in your booking.
Sample cases are the local factor on the way out. A buyer who leaves with new samples or a sales rep carrying a collection needs boot space for it, so mention the extra cases when you book the return. A pickup straight from the manufacturer's door saves carrying them back to the hotel first. From the business park by the A3, the drive begins on the motorway at once.
