Frankfurt Airport to Mannheim: Route and Drive Time
Mannheim is south of the airport, where the Neckar flows into the Rhine, and the transfer is a proper motorway run: 77 km, usually 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes by car. The route follows the A5 south, then the A6, and enters the city on the B38. Traffic on the A5 in the morning rush is the main reason for the longer figure.
Once in the city, the last part depends on the address. The centre is a grid of blocks between the palace and the Neckar, the Quadrate, while the Maimarkt grounds lie on Xaver-Fuhr-Straße on the eastern side, and the Congress Center Rosengarten stands at the edge of the grid.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. For an address in the Quadrate, give the block and house number exactly as your host writes them, for example C3 or N7 followed by the number.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Frankfurt Airport
At FRA, the airlines that had used Terminal 2 moved into the new Terminal 3 in 2026, and the others remain in Terminal 1. Your ticket names the terminal. Give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.
For an arrival, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules.
Travellers to Mannheim sometimes weigh the train against the car. The airport's long-distance station is next to Terminal 1, and Mannheim Hauptbahnhof is a major ICE junction. With several suitcases, a family or a late arrival, though, the car runs from the terminal to the door in the Quadrate without a platform change or a second leg across town.

Arriving at Your Address in Mannheim
Mannheim's centre is unusual: its 144 blocks have no street names but a letter and a number each, such as C3 or N7. Block code plus house number is the whole address, and it is all the chauffeur needs in the booking.
The Congress Center Rosengarten, around a kilometre from the station, has 44 halls and rooms on 22,000 m² and space for up to 9,000 participants; scientific congresses and conferences run through the year. The Maimarkt grounds, further out on Xaver-Fuhr-Straße 101, host the region's large spring fair.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For the Rosengarten or the Maimarkt, the hall or entrance named in your programme is the clearest target.

From Mannheim Back to Frankfurt Airport
With a drive of 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, the return is planned by its length, never by habit, and a morning flight needs the most margin, since the A5 northbound is busiest then. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
The car drives to Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, whichever your ticket gives.
On the Mannheim side, the Maimarkt days at the turn of April and May bring the most traffic to the eastern side of the city. On evenings with an event at the SAP Arena, which stands next to the Maimarkt grounds, the roads towards the A6 can fill up as well. A delegate leaving straight from a session at the Rosengarten can be collected at the congress centre, which saves going back to the hotel first.
