Windsor International Airport to Windsor: Route and Drive Time
YQG is on the east side of Windsor, at 3200 County Road 42. Downtown Windsor is 10 km from the terminal, 15–20 minutes by car, so a morning flight from Toronto or Ottawa still leaves most of the day for meetings.
The drive runs west through the city to the riverfront, where downtown Windsor faces the Detroit skyline across the Detroit River. Hotels, Caesars Windsor and the entrance to the Detroit–Windsor Tunnel are all within a few blocks of each other there.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. On event nights at Caesars Windsor or on fireworks night in late June, the streets near the river fill up and the last part of the trip takes longer.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Windsor International Airport
YQG is a small regional airport: 119,968 passengers used it in 2025. Air Canada Express links it with Toronto Pearson and Porter with Ottawa all year, while WestJet and Air Transat add seasonal flights to the sun.
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules.
If you connected in Toronto or Ottawa, a delay on the first flight carries over to your landing in Windsor; the pickup follows the actual arrival of the plane you are on.

Arriving at Your Address in Windsor
The Caesars Windsor complex stands at 377 Riverside Drive East, right by the water in the city centre. Inside are a convention centre, an entertainment venue with 5,000 seats and two hotel towers totalling 758 rooms. If you are heading for the convention centre or the entertainment centre rather than a hotel tower, say so in the booking.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For an office tower or a hotel on Riverside Drive, the street number is enough.
To travel on by train, head for the VIA Rail station on Walker Road, where the corridor services toward Toronto begin their journey and stop in London along the way.

From Windsor Back to Windsor International Airport
The ride back to the terminal is the same 10 km, 15–20 minutes from downtown. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it. On such a short ride, the drive itself is rarely what decides the departure time.
Mind the calendar instead. In late June, when the Ford Fireworks light the sky above the Detroit River, the police expect one of the busiest evenings of the year downtown, and roads around the waterfront close. For an evening flight that day, leave the riverfront early.
