Vancouver International Airport to Richmond: Route and Drive Time
Few airport transfers in Canada are this short. YVR stands on Sea Island, which belongs to the City of Richmond, so the car crosses from the island into the rest of the same city. Central Richmond is 5 km away, and the drive takes 10–15 minutes on an ordinary day.
Where the trip ends depends on the part of Richmond you need. River Rock Casino Resort is at the northern edge, beside Bridgeport Station; hotels and offices follow the Canada Line south past Aberdeen and Lansdowne to Richmond–Brighouse; the Olympic Oval faces the Fraser River on River Road. Steveston, in the south-west corner, is the furthest point of the city from the terminal.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Vancouver International Airport
YVR has two passenger buildings. Jet flights use the Main Terminal, where a domestic side and an international side are kept apart, with a separate area for flights to and from the US. The South Terminal, next to the floatplane docks, serves regional carriers such as Pacific Coastal and Central Mountain Air. Give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules.
If the trip continues to the US later on, the departure will also start at the Main Terminal. With US preclearance, you clear US customs before boarding a flight to the US.

Arriving at Your Address in Richmond
River Rock Casino Resort is a frequent destination on this route. Beside Bridgeport Station, it combines hotel rooms, a Show Theatre and a separate conference centre, so the same complex may be the address for a concert, a meeting or a night's sleep after a long flight.
The speed skating events of the 2010 Winter Games took place at the Richmond Olympic Oval, 6111 River Road. Today it runs sport programs and tournaments and houses the Richmond Olympic Experience, so a visiting club can be taken straight to the venue rather than to a hotel. At the mouth of the Fraser's South Arm sits Steveston, a historic fishing village; the Britannia Heritage Shipyard and waterfront restaurants are its draws.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For River Rock, add whether you need the hotel or the conference centre.

From Richmond Back to Vancouver International Airport
The return is just as short: 10–15 minutes from the city centre to the terminal in normal traffic, a little more from Steveston. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
What needs checking is the building, not the distance. Domestic, international and US flights all leave from the Main Terminal, while regional services use the South Terminal, so look at your ticket before you book. A flight to the US also needs time for preclearance inside the terminal before boarding.
On Canada Day, 1 July, the Salmon Festival fills Steveston, and a pickup in the village that day deserves a wider margin than usual.
