Rotterdam The Hague Airport to Rotterdam: Route and Drive Time
Rotterdam The Hague Airport lies on the northern edge of the city, 8 km from the centre. The run in follows city roads and usually takes 14–20 minutes, which makes it the shortest airport transfer into Rotterdam by a wide margin: Schiphol, the other airport most visitors consider, is 60 km away.
On a drive this short, the hour counts for more than the distance. The airport sits beside the A13, the commuter motorway between The Hague and Rotterdam, and its morning and evening peaks slow the approach to the city as well. The nearest part of town is the centre, north of the Nieuwe Maas, around Rotterdam Centraal and the Coolsingel. Anything south of the river adds a crossing and a few more kilometres.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Add the flight number to the booking so the pickup is tied to the aircraft, not to the timetable.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Rotterdam The Hague Airport
RTM is a one-terminal airport, and a small one: every passenger off a flight leaves through the same doors, so there is no hall or pier to identify before you travel.
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. For a visitor to the port or to an office in the centre, this is what holds a morning programme together. With only 8 km between the runway and the city, the landing time is close to the time you walk into your first meeting, so the car is set against the flight rather than a fixed hour.
From London, British Airways flies to RTM from London City; add that flight number and the address of your first meeting to the booking.

Arriving at Your Address in Rotterdam
Coming from RTM, the car reaches Rotterdam from the north, so the first addresses on the way are those around Rotterdam Centraal, on the northern edge of the centre, with the Coolsingel a little further on. Nothing on this side of the Nieuwe Maas needs a river crossing. South of the river it does: Kop van Zuid and the cruise terminal on Wilhelminapier are about 11 km from the terminal by road, and Rotterdam Ahoy, the congress centre in Hart van Zuid, about 13 km.
One weekend a year the centre changes shape. The NN Marathon Rotterdam is run every April, with its start and finish on the Coolsingel; if you land that weekend, give the exact address and expect the approach to differ from the usual one. For a cruise, add the ship and its sailing day, and for Ahoy the hall from your programme.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. Rotterdam Centraal itself can be the drop-off if you continue by train.

From Rotterdam Back to Rotterdam The Hague Airport
Leaving Rotterdam, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 14–20 minutes from the centre to the terminal, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
The part that varies is the A13 at rush hour, which the airport road joins. From the south bank the drive is longer, since the car has to cross the river first: Kop van Zuid is about 11 km from the terminal and Ahoy about 13 km. Whichever airline you fly, you are set down at the same single terminal.
If the trip ends by rail instead, Eurostar runs direct from Rotterdam Centraal to Antwerp, Brussels, Paris and London; book the station as the destination and add the train to the booking.
