Naples Airport to Caserta: Route and Drive Time
Caserta is 31 km north of Naples Airport. The route never crosses Naples: from Capodichino the car heads north onto the A1, the Milan–Naples motorway, and leaves it for Caserta after a short stretch. The drive usually takes 35–45 minutes.
On the A1 itself the car rarely loses time. The minutes go at the start, on the busy roads around the airport and the northern edge of Naples, and the finish, when the address is on the far side of the city from the motorway exit. A hotel on the edge of Caserta is reached sooner than one in the centre near the palace.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. When you book, give the hotel's address with your flight number; for a villa in the countryside around Caserta, add the name of the road.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Naples Airport
Naples Airport works with one terminal. Whether you fly in from Milan or from London, you come out through the same arrivals hall.
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. For a visit to the Reggia on the day you land, add the time of your entry to the booking, so it shows how much margin there is between the flight and the palace.
Capodichino is closed from 1 to 30 November 2026 for the runway rebuild; outside that month it runs as usual. Guests for Caserta who fly that month should read the section on other airports below.

Arriving at Your Address in Caserta
Caserta station stands on one side of Piazza Carlo di Borbone and the Reggia on the other, so much of what visitors come for is in one square. The palace has no public car park of its own, which means that a visit starts with a set-down near the entrance rather than with a search for a space.
By road the city is reached from the A1 exit Caserta Nord or the A30 exit Caserta Sud, and the one nearer to your address is the one the car uses. High-speed trains stop at Caserta station, Frecciarossa as well as Italo, which runs direct to Milan and Rome, so a guest who arrives by air and leaves by train can do both from the same square.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For a set-down at the palace, give the time of your visit as well.

From Caserta Back to Naples Airport
Leaving Caserta, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 35–45 minutes to Naples Airport, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
The airport has a single terminal, so the booking needs only the flight and the pickup address. A last morning at the Reggia can end with the car picking you up in Piazza Carlo di Borbone and driving straight to the airport.
If you travelled on to the coast after Caserta, the pickup can be that hotel instead. Pompeii, for example, is 48 km from Caserta but only about 30 km from the airport.
