Linate to Como: Route and Drive Time
Como lies 54 km north of Linate: 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes on the road in normal traffic. The car takes the Milan ring roads, the Tangenziale Est and then the Tangenziale Nord, and leaves them for the SS36, the dual carriageway north through Brianza. It turns off towards Como on the SPexSS342, the old Briantea road, and reaches the town from the east.
The ring roads are where the time varies: busy at the morning and evening peaks, quicker in the middle of the day. The SS36 is usually steady, and the last kilometres on the Briantea pass through a string of towns before Como.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Give the hotel name and street with your flight number: on the lake, the hotel address, not the town, decides which road the car uses at the end.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Linate
Linate has one terminal. Passengers collect their luggage on the ground floor and come out into the same small arrivals area whatever the flight. For event guests arriving from London, Paris or Rome on different flights, that means one exit for all of them.
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. If an evening flight comes in late, the transfer to the lake still starts when you land.
As a city airport with Italian and European routes, Linate also has one clear advantage for Lake Como: it lies on the east side of Milan, the side of the SS36, the road that leads to the eastern branch of the lake as well as to Como.

Arriving at Your Hotel in Como
Inside Como's walls, traffic is limited all year round, and electronic gates check who enters. Many hotels stand outside the walls, on the waterfront around Piazza Cavour, by the ferry pier and the Como Nord Lago station. For an address inside the walls, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.
Some stays start with a boat. From Como the fast boat to Bellagio takes about 40–50 minutes and the slow boat about 2.5 hours; for a hotel reached by water, the car can take you to the pier. For Villa Erba, the congress centre in Cernobbio, add 6 km along the shore from Como.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For a private villa, include the gate details or the owner's directions.

From Como Back to Linate
Leaving Como, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes to Linate, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
At Linate there is only one terminal to drive to, so give just the flight number. On the return, the SS36 and the Milan ring roads fill up on weekday mornings, when commuter traffic heads towards the city; allow for it with an early flight.
From Bellagio, the car does not have to come back through Como. By the SS36 and the road along the Lecco branch, Bellagio is 76 km from Linate, usually 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes.
